Played this when visiting my son and his wife.Cards ask questions anyone can answer. No embarrassment like in Trivia Pursuit when you just don't know the answer. Here you try to match other player's anwers - some amaze you and most are quite funny. Plan to buy this game myself!

This is a fun game if you grew up with this music and watched the videos. Don't play it with "Jo" she listens to Steve FM on the internet while at work so she know all the answers before you can think you do.

Remote Possibilities Game Review

Remote Possibilities Game
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My favorite part of this game is the fact that players can sit in any part of the room (we played in the living room). People got comfortable on a couch, sat on the floor, lounged in a lazy-boy and were able to play the game easily. I loved getting away from the kitchen table too (because those chairs can seem pretty hard after sitting there for an hour or so).
The questions were not too difficult as most seem to be general knowledge. But that made it more fun as a lot of the game revolves around being the fastest to "buzz in" with the right answer using your individual remote control. Not everyone knew every answer, but for the most part we were all on equal ground.
I think that this game could be played by kids as young as 10 (playing with a group of kids around the same age and knowledge level to make it more even). I know the adults I was playing with had a great time and found the game easy to play right out of the box.
This is now one of my favorite games and I look forward to playing it with family and friends over the holidays. Lots of fun, a great way to socialize, and getting away from the table is a nice way to play. I highly recommend this game!

Got the answer? Think fast and click in quick! Challenge your friends' wits in three different categories: General Knowledge Questions, Complete the Phrase, and Complete the Word. When you click in with one of the wireless remotes, the game unit will recognize and interact with you. Don't know the answer? "Zing" an opponent and see if they know. Then take turns playing the host and leading the fun. Features 5000 questions and three different categories. Requires 10 button-cell batteries (included) and 3 "AA" alkaline batteries (not included).

Pictionary Party Edition is a holiday tradition in my family! Just about every Thanksgiving and Christmas, after the family is full from the feast, we gather around the kitchen table for a few good rounds of Pictionary Party Edition! You will (of course) have to replace the markers from time to time (I recommend either Avery, Sharpie or Expo Dry-Erase Multiple Color Markers). I hope they'll created an updated version of the Party Edition-WONDERFUL FUN!

My husband bought this game in early 1990's for jr hi aged daughter, and we've had a blast with it. We pull it out when we have 6 or 8 friends over (fun for participants from about 85 yrs to about 10 yrs) just to keep action going. It's easy to converse during the game -- that's a plus.
A friend really loved the game at our house, so I bought it for her as a "hostess gift". Was delighted that I can still find it.

Picture Pursuit By the Makers of Trivial Pursuit Review

Picture Pursuit By the Makers of Trivial Pursuit
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This game came out in the mid 90s. I got it on a website that sells out-of-print games. The game has a box of questions and a board to insert the pictures in. The categories are the same as the revised Genus editions. Wild Card is the orange category. The visual element adds a new twist to the game, but not all of the cards have pictures. Some have typed clues instead. You play the game in two teams. Correct answers in the different categories opens two doors showing part of the picture or a typed clue. You're allowed one guess once doors on the board are opened. Wrong answers result in the other team getting control. Each picture card has one clue to help you out - who, what or where. Solving the puzzle earns a chip. The puzzles are NOT related to the questions asked in any way. The first team to earn six chips wins the game.
A couple of things different from the regular TP game. This game comes with a 30 second timer, and if your team answers wrong, the other team can try to answer or choose a new question. Also, in this game the Science and Nature category is brown. At least they don't have purple in this game. I don't know whose idea it was to replace brown with purple, but I don't like it. It looks too much like pink. Anyway, if you're looking for a different way to play Trivial Pursuit, get this game. It's out of print, but amazon.com has it.

Scene It? Deluxe Disney 2nd Edition Review

Scene It Deluxe Disney 2nd Edition

If you're already got last year's Scene It? Disney Super Game Pack you'll find a lot of repeat questions in this new game, but if not it's a lot of fun. If you're going to spend family time in front of the TV, laughing with each other as you try to answer these trivia questions sure beats just sitting there.
Our family has the original Disney Scene It?, but we like this version a lot better. Compared to the old DVD, this package has more types of questions, more questions altogether (as it's spread out over two discs) and covers all the recent Disney films, all the way through Ratatouille. What we liked best about it, though, is that it includes Party Play. That gives you the option to skip the gameboard, have the trivia questions appear automatically one after the another and just sit back and try to out think each other. (Playing that way is unfair to younger kids, but with our 13-year-old we need all the help we can get.)
Another nice touch: the game tokens. They're antique brass versions of Ariel, Lightning McQueen, Nemo and Tinker Bell.

Click Here to see more reviews about: Scene It Deluxe Disney 2nd Edition

The popular board game that has players watching video clips and shouting out answers is now available in an upgraded Disney theme. This second edition of Screenlife’s Scene It? Disney game is chock full of questions, characters, and clips from both new and classic films from the family-friendly giant. From older films like Alice in Wonderland and The Little Mermaid to new favorites such as The Incredibles and Ratatouille, the game asks questions about unforgettable characters, songs, and scenes.

Pop the game’s DVD into your player to start the magic and mayhem. Loaded with new clips and puzzles, this updated version touches on elephants that fly to cursed pirates and all things in between. There are over 1,000 questions on the 160 trivia cards, so even if you see the same snippet from the 180 on the DVD during the same game, the question about that scene will be different. Special technology randomizes the order of the clips to ensure fresh fun each time the game is played.

The themed, interactive game board can be spread out for longer games, or folded when you don’t have a lot of time (or players). To help you move around the board there are four metal player tokens (Nemo, Ariel, Tinkerbell, and Lightning McQueen), one six-sided die to determine how many spaces to move, and one eight-sided die that determines the category to be played. Once the dice have been rolled, clips are watched, questions are asked, and it’s revealed just how much you know. Use observation, memory, wordplay, and puzzle-solving to answer various challenges about the imaginative characters, celebrated songs, and timeless storytelling you see on-screen. Categories range from Take Three and Songs to Mousellaneous and more.

Not a longtime watcher of Disney and Pixar films? Don’t worry. This game is easy enough to learn and fun enough to play even for those who are not overly familiar with the plots. The trivia cards include questions for adults with separate ones for children, and some questions can be answered simply by paying close attention to the movie clips. There are also 30 Buzz cards available to help (or occasionally hinder) your progress. If these reasons aren’t enough to tempt you into a game on your own, then co-captain the Black Pearl with a friend or family member and play a few rounds in team mode first.

A TV, DVD player, and remote control are needed but not included. The DVD includes an on-screen demonstration of game play.

What’s in the box
2 DVDs
1 Flextime game board
1 six-sided die
1 eight-sided category die
4 collectible metal player tokens
160 trivia cards
30 Buzz cards
4 reference cards

Dig It Review

Dig It

I have thousands of puzzles, and I'm always looking for true gems. Dig-it is one of these puzzle gems.
Each of the 60 puzzles involves 3 polyomino pieces, and a buried bone. For a move, you can lift up one piece, and then put it back anywhere it will fit. This is a variety of sliding-block puzzle.
How hard can a puzzle be with 3 pieces? Turns out -- pretty hard. There is a lot of depth to these puzzles, though, since you can often see 3-5 moves ahead.
These are a series of graded challenges, from beginner to extreme.

Dig it!Unleash your mindIt's a great day to be a dog in the park. The sun is shining, there are no cats to be seen... and the tantalizing whiff of a big, crunchy bone can be smelled from somewhere nearby. But shuffling around the patches of turf to dig it up is going to require creativity and cleverness. That's no problem for a smart canine like you: The challenge will only make the reward that much more delicious, so get out there, think it through and dig it!

We played this in groups at a family gathering and all ages had fun - from 8-10 yr olds to the grammas and papas. This game was suggested by a special needs teacher to help focus a child's attention and participate in a fun social interaction. So glad we found it here as it is now out of print!
We didn't follow the included rules, but rather passed selected cards around to each group for a limited time. Each group identified and wrote down as many items as possible in the alloted time. Then the cards were passed to the next group. After all the cards made the rounds we shared our finds; as well as surprise and laughter! The ultimate game of "I spy, with my little eye."
This will definitely be included at all the future family gatherings, and maybe an adult game night. We could even try playing by "the rules"....
