Trivial Pursuit Magic of Disney Family Edition Review

Trivial Pursuit Magic of Disney Family Edition

We thought this was all about Disney but we soon learned that it had basically only one category that focused on Disney. All other categories are just like the regular Trivia Pursuit. We love Trivia Pursuit but we were a bit disappointed as we thought all categories would be somewhat related to something Disney.

If you enjoy playing Trivial Pursuit this game is not for you. Although the questions will challenge you, you will soon discover that you are repeating the same questions before the night is over. For the price one should expect the number of questions that came with the Genus editions.

Picture Pursuit By the Makers of Trivial Pursuit Review

Picture Pursuit By the Makers of Trivial Pursuit
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This game came out in the mid 90s. I got it on a website that sells out-of-print games. The game has a box of questions and a board to insert the pictures in. The categories are the same as the revised Genus editions. Wild Card is the orange category. The visual element adds a new twist to the game, but not all of the cards have pictures. Some have typed clues instead. You play the game in two teams. Correct answers in the different categories opens two doors showing part of the picture or a typed clue. You're allowed one guess once doors on the board are opened. Wrong answers result in the other team getting control. Each picture card has one clue to help you out - who, what or where. Solving the puzzle earns a chip. The puzzles are NOT related to the questions asked in any way. The first team to earn six chips wins the game.
A couple of things different from the regular TP game. This game comes with a 30 second timer, and if your team answers wrong, the other team can try to answer or choose a new question. Also, in this game the Science and Nature category is brown. At least they don't have purple in this game. I don't know whose idea it was to replace brown with purple, but I don't like it. It looks too much like pink. Anyway, if you're looking for a different way to play Trivial Pursuit, get this game. It's out of print, but amazon.com has it.

Quick Wit Review

Quick Wit
Average Reviews:

This game comes with verbal and visual trivia questions. The idea is to fill out your Quick Wit card by getting a question right for each of the letters in the game's title. There are two i's, so getting an answer for one of them gets you both. Questions range from general knowledge to spelling, to deduction and reasoning, to looking at a picture and spotting what's wrong with it.
There are also some trick questions too, so beware. There are five types of questions, and the board is arranged so you can go back and forth if you need a particular color or letter. I would say this game is fun. It makes you think but it's not as hard as Trivial Pursuit.

QUIZ WIT Review

QUIZ WIT
Average Reviews:

I bought this game at a board game convention. Each card has four questions that are color coded. Each player or team chooses a color and will be asked questions of that color for the entire game. Questions consist of true/false, multiple choice and fill ins. The cards are designed so that each color will get a combo of all three of the questions. For each question you get right, you move one space on the board. First person or team to reach the finish (10 spaces) wins the game.
We had three teams playing, and the game took about a half-hour. If you miss a question, you don't advance but you don't move back either. A nice fun and simple trivia game with no bells or whistles.

Times To Remember Review

Times To Remember

My mom bought this game back in 92 or 93. It has become our favorite game of all time. Not only is it fun those who lived during these years (1950-1991) but it is very educational to those who didn't or don't remember. I was about 8 or 9 when my mom bought and much of the history that I know comes from this game. It has 5 categories:Hollywood, TV, Headlines, Music, and This & That. You roll the dice to see which category you need to read the question from, you can also roll a wild which gives you your choice. You read the question aloud and then decide if you need a seven-year range or less. You then put the plastic range piece on the round board between the years you choose. This is a two-team game because there are only two boards. I love this game and even though I am 23 now, every new years I spend with my mom playing this game. It brings families together! I've even dragged my husband into playing it! I have yet to find a game like it.

I purchased this game for my husband last Christmas and it quickly became our favorite. My daughters (ages 8 & 5) love learning more about our family history and guessing each other's favorites. The scavenger hunts and charades are also lots of fun. I would highly recommend this game to any family. It's also great to take to holiday get-togethers and play with extended family members. It really gets the "chatter" going and brings back some great memories.

Trivial Pursuit Millennium Edition Review

My family and friends have been playing this game for years. It seems to be better for generational gaps than the original game. THere are of course the obscure questions that most of games contain, but for the most part we usually seem to get a lot of correct answers. You can depend on the clues to help you because they offer some sort of logic.

TRIVIAL PURSUIT SINGLES - ENTERTAINMENT Review

TRIVIAL PURSUIT SINGLES - ENTERTAINMENT
Average Reviews:

This trivia set is very fun and has great, up-to-date questions. The only reason I didn't give it more stars is that there are only a small handful of trivia cards, and you start to repeat questions fast. If you don't play games that often, or need a travel game, it would be perfect, but if you play often, you may want to look for a game with more cards.

The Top 10 Game for Trivia Review

The Top 10 Game for Trivia
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This game is based on the Top 10 Lists read by David Letterman every night, and he's made some headlines of his own recently. The special die indicates which Top 10 List you'll be playing. Some categories have actual lists where you'll try to write down the answers on the list. Others have lists where you can create your own answers and you score if nobody else has that answer. There's even one category where you can "invent" your own Top 10 list. Creativity can pay off in this game. You score one point for each acceptable answer, First one to reach the finish line wins. Good game that starts discussions among players.

Great game. A group of us played it the other night and got really into it. The concept is simple but very unique. It's the only game I've played that requires both intellectual knowledge and knowledge of the other players to win. It was a great evening.

Trivial Pursuit Disney Edition Review

Trivial Pursuit Disney Edition
Average Reviews:

I agree with the other reviewers that this game is a lot of fun but there is only one small box of cards (1/2 adult and 1/2 child questions). My daughter and I played 2 games and had already gone through the cards. Even though we didn't get the same questions most of the time it was still disappointing. I called Hasbro and they have no plans of making additional cards for this game, which is really too bad. Does anyone else remember when Trivial Pursuit had 2 huge boxes of questions and the other question boxes that you could purchase?
Aaaaah memories!

Trivial Pursuit Genus 5 Review

I am a trivia buff and a Trivial Pursuit addict so I was very excited to see this new edition. This game is still a lot of fun to play with friends but there is a lot missing from the Genus V game. The questions have indeed been updated, which is a good thing, but are either poorly worded and almost impossible to answer or they are REALLY easy. I love trivia and I really enjoy playing this game but it's definitely not the challenge I remember it being. Anyone who is up on current events and pop culture will do really well, anyone who is looking for a serious trivia challenge should maybe stick to Jeopardy.
