Remote Possibilities Game Review

Remote Possibilities Game
Average Reviews:

My favorite part of this game is the fact that players can sit in any part of the room (we played in the living room). People got comfortable on a couch, sat on the floor, lounged in a lazy-boy and were able to play the game easily. I loved getting away from the kitchen table too (because those chairs can seem pretty hard after sitting there for an hour or so).
The questions were not too difficult as most seem to be general knowledge. But that made it more fun as a lot of the game revolves around being the fastest to "buzz in" with the right answer using your individual remote control. Not everyone knew every answer, but for the most part we were all on equal ground.
I think that this game could be played by kids as young as 10 (playing with a group of kids around the same age and knowledge level to make it more even). I know the adults I was playing with had a great time and found the game easy to play right out of the box.
This is now one of my favorite games and I look forward to playing it with family and friends over the holidays. Lots of fun, a great way to socialize, and getting away from the table is a nice way to play. I highly recommend this game!

Simon 2 Game Review

Simon 2 Game

For me, comparing it to the thing I had when I was 11 (I'm 32 now...) this one is a disappointment.
The brain behind the game is the same, This one has far more option to be honest, but it is much smaller then the original, less durable, The sounds the game make are very screamy and havily synthesized (I guess this is because the modern thin speaker they are using insetad of the original which had radio quality speaker).
The interface was supposed to be more user friendly but the result is that it is very annoying comparing to the original which had simple switchs that were far more simple to operate.
The lens switchs are vary hard to press-My daughter really had to learn how to press hard.
The 2 players game option does add more excitment.
To conclude, the game is worth the money and still is very enjoyable for today kids - but to get ready to be disappointed if you had the classic simon back in the 80's - the game is still the same great game, but time and technology didn't do good in terms of design and construction.

Excalibur Game Time II Digital Chess Clock Review

Excalibur Game Time II Digital Chess Clock
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
There is a lot to like about an Excalibur chess clock: it is inexpensive, it has lots of functions, and it is very easy to learn how to use it.
First off, the price: you can buy three of these clocks for the price of a Chronos, but then you get what you pay for. Most of the guys in my chess club have Chronos clocks and I also have two that I have had for years. Yet, I have never even heard of a Chronos clock that failed. These Excalibur clocks, on the other hand, definitely have a limited lifespan.
A lot of players start out with an Excalibur clock, but sooner or later the clock breaks down and then they buy a different kind of clock.
Personally, my main peeve with the Excalibur is that I really dislike the buttons on it. The problem is that the button movement is not completely smooth and therefore it is possible to hit a button in such a way that it does not go down all the way and then you have to hit it again (this is extremely annoying when you are playing blitz). Other than the buttons, the problem is that these clocks are flimsy and do not take well to jostling.
Still, if you just want a clock for occasional use, and if you are looking for something cheap and functional, this clock is your best bet.

ChessCentral's Triple Weighted Centurion Chess Set with Board and Zippered Chess Pieces Bag Review

ChessCentral's Triple Weighted Centurion Chess Set with Board and Zippered Chess Pieces Bag

I liked the design of the pieces and the size, but after some time (after play and lots of blitz) the weights at the bottom completely fell out. I tried super gluing them back together but that didn't work. Looking to throw these out and get new ones from a better dealer.

This Pressman chess set is exactly what you'd expect: light, hollow plastic pieces and a stiff paper game board. If that's what you're looking for, perhaps as a spare chess set or a set to take to work, for example, you'll be happy with this chess set.

Carrom 400.01 Skittles Game Review

Carrom 400.01 Skittles Game
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Skittles is one of those toys that will provide your children with years of fun and still look like new when you need to pull it out for grandchildren. Our grandparents had this game and what I most remember is that it was one of the few things all five of my siblings could do together and have a guaranteed good time. We began using it when we were small (ages spanning 4-10) and were still playing when some of us were adults (ages 16-22). Sometimes our parents and grandparents would even join in! It is an exciting game that can be played according to the rules or just "freestyle." It is equally fun with one player or 4. Now that I am grown with three children of my own, guess what they play? Our skittles game. It is rare these days to have a toy of such lasting value. This has become a family treasure for us and will for you too.

Perfection Fun On the Run Game Review

Perfection Fun On the Run Game
Average Reviews:

My child received this toy as a present. I was overjoyed because I remembered playing happily with the standard-size set when I was little. But when we tried to play this travel-sized one, I realized that the game was very difficult to play because the pieces were too small. One needs super coordination to fit such complicated and small shapes into the holes - which neither me nor my 5-year-old have! So I gave this travel-sized perfection set away and bought the standard size one for my child. She enjoys it (especially fitting all of the pieces into the holes, then setting the timer and watching the pieces go up - it's nice to know that she can "grow" into the toy!), and I am happy with the new purchase. Moral: DON'T buy the travel-sized one. DO buy the standard-sized one.
