Monopoly - Deluxe Anniversary Edition (1984) Review

Monopoly - Deluxe Anniversary Edition (1984)
Average Reviews:

The board itself looked clean, but a little dingy and had a couple annoying black specks. It doesn't look *brand* new but more like the 20yr old set I presume it is. Although half the tokens were silver and half were goldish and a bunch of extra plastic houses (presumably from a regular monopoly set) were thrown in, all the pieces in the Deluxe Edition were accounted for (32 total wooden houses and hotels) and the money, cards and info booklet were in excellent condition -- no rips or folds or tears. Overall, a charming deal in good condition.

I was looking for a new version of the Monopoly Game for my kids to take to school. We already had spongebob and the original game. I really wanted the Tim Burton version but couldn't find it in the stores. I saw Star Wars, Disney... sounded too boring. I bought this one and my 11 year old girls and I played all night. Cool facts from around the world and I love the credit card feature! No more money!! That is good and bad since I like the kids practice how to count money... but we emphasize other learning such as fun facts around the world and negotiating for a property. The pace of game a lot faster since not getting bogged down with the paper money. Everything fits self contained in drawers that fit under board... Love it!

If you love the Harry Potter books, you must get this game. My friend(who is a HP fan like I am) has this game and played it with me. We both had a lot of fun! The game really tests your knowledge of Harry and his world in all areas. From people to creatures, you can find out anything. The optional multiple choice made it easier when you didn't know the answer right away. I'm now going to get it myself. If you are a Harry Potter fan, and think you know everything there is to know about the first book, get this gam and find out!!

Clay Mania Review

Clay Mania
Average Reviews:

My wife and I have spent 4 years looking for this game after playing with some friends'. The game is similar to Pictionary except you use clay. The clay that comes with the game wears--but this is due to the continual play we have given it! We will simply replace the clay with some from a toy store or make our own! From the artistic to the sculpting impaired--everyone laughs at this game as trying to sculpt at a hurried pace is hard, comical, and fun. It's a hoot and quite the hit with friends and family. A big thumb's up (with clay under the fingernails I might add!)

Will your fingers work as fast as your brain and more importantly, will your sculpturelook like a fire hose instead of a trombone? Sink your hands into this fast action party game. You have 45 seconds to squish, squash, and sculpt a mound of clay into anobject that your teammates can guess what it is you're making. You can animate the clay but you're not allowed to say a word.Michelangelo detail is not needed - fast sculpting and creative thinking are all that is required.

If you want a complete set of the World Edition tokens (including the 6 exclusive tokens), in a quality tin case, with deeds and cards with rounded corners (not found anywhere else), this is the set for you. Very nice. Worth the money to a Monopoly collector. Borderline pricey otherwise, but still a good buy for a quality product.

Bought this game for my dad who plays Monopoly with my family and I when he visits... and since he is a University of Wisconin, Madison graduate, I just had to get him this game when I saw it on Amazon.
I had it shipped right to his home, so I have never played it. I presume that it is more of a "conversation piece" in his den/office?
Buying from Amazon was quick, easy and efficient... and this game was unique for the guy/dad that already has and owns everything... but this is one thing he did not have!!!
Have never played the game... but from a unique point of view, I am glad I bought it for him.

What a great saver. The power went out Island wide (the entire island went black), so single Mom of a nine and seven year old broke out the kids camping tent in the living room. We went out to the covered lanai and started the hibachi (grill). We started roasting marshmallows. When relatives found out what we were doing, everyone ended up at our house, then the kids brought out the monopoly and the adults brought out the wine and merlot. The kids had a great time...even my teenager niece was amazed that she didn't have to countrol all the money for the little kids. It was so easy with the bank machine. GREAT GAME!! Oh, and the adults had fun as well!

IT'S BREAK TIME! Take off your tool belt, turn off the grinder, pack away the drill and put the duct tape back in the drawer! I just added playing DIY Monopoloy to my 'to do' list. This Do It Yourself Monopoly Game is a good gift for any Weekend Tool Warrior. The game takes a comical look at the many pitfalls we do-it-yourselfers have either experienced firsthand or heard about from others. I could relate to everything on the board. I'm sure your d.i.y.er will agree that it 'hits the nail on the head'. ~ The Boss

Say What Review

Say What
Average Reviews:

I love my Say What. I leave it out on the coffee table and get a quick game or two when I have a few minutes, or when I'm taking a break from working. When I have guests over its a fun conversation starter, or a good distraction when there is no conversation! Everyone always wants to play a few rounds.
300 Phrases is suprisingly deep, and it's just as fun (or more fun!) to watch as it is to play, kind of like a Nintendo Wii.
I'm a fan of board games, but they can sometimes take too long. "Say What" is great if you can't commit a lot of time and just want something casual for a few minutes up to a half hour or so.
The plastic balls are sturdy and I haven't had any problems yet. I've had it for over a month and I'm still on my first set of 4 AA batteries.
It really is great for grown-ups and kids. There are references from the 1980s up to today, and even if a little kid doesn't know the phrase, they still figure it out through context. A bit of "Back seat driving" makes for a fun group atmosphere.
Highly recommended.

iToys Inc Price Is Right Electronic Tabletop Game Review

iToys Inc Price Is Right Electronic Tabletop Game
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)

I have two components to my review...first one of the product, then a separate one on the seller, in this case amazon.com.
There have been several home games for The Price is Right, both the older Bill Cullen version and the revamped Bob Barker/ Dennis James et. al. version. It's a tough game to capture in a box...the editions that I have really require a lot of setup. We really liked the recent Endless Games version, but we spent more time in set up than in playing the actual game, so it hasn't left the cabinet in a while.
Irwin Toys electronic games are, with the exception of the dreadful "Family Feud" electronic game, pretty good, and this is no exception. The show's most popular games are included. Everything from items up for bid, to the pricing games themselves and the showcases are represented on cards. The players type in a numeric code, and you simply play along. It works quite well. My only problem is that when the digital text is rolling on the screen it really cannot be read, which is important when there are numbers that you need. That needs improved if they produce another edition. Clock game is a bit goofy, but after several plays we nailed it...it simply requires as much concentration as it does on the show. Of course, the hit in our house is Plinko. Owners should make sure you keep a baggie to keep the Plinko chips in.
My only beef with this product is from Amazon.com. The price for this thing fluctuated like a yo-yo. I bought it at what I thought was a good price, only for it to go down another $5 overnight. As amazon has done away with its noble price protection, they would not credit that difference. But as the price I paid was half off suggested retail, I'm not to miffed. I just suggest that amazon.com look at reviewing their price-protection policy again, as their decision makes me a bit wary.
If you like TPIR, grab a copy of this. You'll really like it...a great way to spend a few hours.

Whoa! Fantasy Flight did it again. By having publishing rights to this game, they offered the public an opportunity to play a fast, funny and, inside the limited possibilities of board games, realistic moto racing board game.
There are so many pros to this game, and I will mention some of them:
1. The possibility of building a lot of different tracks without having to buy expansions. The game come with more than 15 tracks designs, when yourself mount them using thepieces that come with the game. Amazing concept.
2. The possibility of racing with a lot more than 6 bikes without making the game being miserable slow to play. YEs, the are only sis dashboards. But the dashboards are only to keep track of some attibutes (rear tire, front tire and engine), and you can easily keep track of them on paper. As for the bikes themselves, although the bikes that come with the game are splendid, almost anything can do, if you don't use the expert rules (otherwise, you'll need something to simulate wheelie and inclination of the bikes.
3. There are optional rules on the Net for weather and kind of tires, amongst others (it's a pity the game itself doesn't come with some of them).
4. Packaging. Seldom have I seen such a game box that adequately can hold all the game pieces in such a neatly manner.
5. Time of play. You can take longer or short lenghts of play, according to the number of laps you decide to do (the game recommends 6 laps always), the lenght of the track, the number of players/bikes, etc.
CONS:
Fantasy Flight does not make supplies for this game available. There's noe xtra bukes, track tiles or dash boards to buy separetely. As a matter of fact, they state that you should buy another box of the whole game if you wanna more bikes, extra track tiles ou dash boards. It's outrageous.
