Purchased these cards for my grandma. I can remember these cards when I went to play bingo with my grandma in the 1980's. Now they used paper cards. Figured my grandma would be excited to see the old wooden cards.
Box came, I expected a few cards, the description says ( package of 10), but they only sent one! Somewhat disappointed in that..

Money Bingo Review

I think all kids like counting (and mooching) money. My two sons also kept asking me how much things cost, how much money they would have left if they bought that toy, etc. As they began learning about money in school, that curiosity seemed to get even stronger.
My sons love playing board games so I purchased this bingo as a fun, interactive way for them to learn their money facts. None of us have been disappointed - and this is something we can all do together (one son is 7 and at the top of his class, the other is 9 and slightly delayed) so this is perfect for them to learn together. One note of caution, though, is to watch out for the "winner" - at first they argued or got hurt feelings because they couldn't both win.
Which brings me to the other thing I really like about this bingo game - you pick and choose which amounts you call by peeking at the deck first. This can help ensure that if I play two games - each boy gets to win once. It is also very helpful if there are certain combinations of money that the child is having trouble with - you can be sure to always call those cards to increase the repetition the child has to calculate those amounts.

This game is destined to be a classic. It is fun, fast-paced and exciting for children. Anyone can win, and positions often change at the last minute. It is a game my children enjoy playing over and over. It reinforces color recognition and counting skills as the players advance though the jungle path. It is easy for a child to teach another child to play (great for play dates!) The animal characters on the board are adorable, my child sees something new on the board every time we play. A MUST for anyone with young children!

Disney Princess Game Pack Princess Bingo Princes Tic Tac Toe/Checkers & Princess Card Game Review

This is a 3 in 1 game set with a Disney Princss theme. Included in the package are Checkers, Bingo and an Old Maid/Go Fish Card Game set. Each game is wrapped separately and can be stored in it's respective box.
The game boards and pieces are all cardboard, so not as durable as soem of the more expensive games, but if your kids are not too hard on the pieces, they will hold up pretty well.
Overall, I recommend this game set for kids aged 4-6 or so. We've spent hours playing the various games and they continue to hold up as favorites. The manufacturer also makes a similar game set with a spiderman theme that is just as fun. I found these for around $5, and that seems like a reasonable price.

I got this for my daughter who is 7yrs old. She was still not very confident with the counting of money. It is a great game for everyone to play and when someone wins bingo, they get to brag out of a brag bag for a prize. (candy bar, pen, pencil)

Bird Bingo by Channel Craft Review

I immediately laminated the cards and playing boards before letting the kids play with it. This turned out to be a good thing, since milk was spilled on it the very first game. Lamination spared it any damage. OTherwise, it is made of a heavy "card stock" type paper that would not hold up to moisture well. Bought this as a birthday gift for 8-yr-old that loves birds. Four-year-old loves playing it also, thanks to pictures on cards. Pictures are very nice illustrations. Older child and friends enjoyed it very much. I like that it teaches them names of common birds of North America.

This game is silliness unleashed, but offers a marvelous benefit: learning body parts and increasing motor awareness.
It's fun for mom, too, to watch her kids contorted in all kinds of silly positions as they work to hold on to their colored balls.
My kids love it. We'll reach for it often on gloomy days where energy needs to be burned indoors!

Likes N Gripes Board Game Review

I've played this game a few times with my gaming group. It reminds me of Scattergories because of the different topics, but the twist here is that you're comparing likes or dislikes depending on the roll of the die. There are three categories on each card. Players, in turn, pick a card and choose one of the categories before rolling the die. Players then write down their answers till the timer runs out of sand. I think the timer is 90 seconds or two minutes, can't remember which.
Players in turn read off their answers. If your answer matches, you check it off. Unlike what the other review said, I checked the instructions. You move one space for each person you matched on a paticular answer. So if three people said an answer, you move three spaces. This means you will move your game piece on the board after each answer is read. Up to six can play, and there are a few blank cards allowing you to make up your own categories. A fun game that will probably start discussions and provide a few laughs.

We received this as a present and it has become one of the gifts I like to give. Our children could play it at about 3 years old because it doesn't require reading, but does have the opportunity to learn letters. The older kids (age ~ 8) still enjoy it because of the element of chance. And I enjoy it because they can play it without me!

My kids LOVE this game. They are aged 7, 6, and 3 1/2. It's great for building attention skills, matching and is helping my kindergartener and preschooler learn numbers to 60. Every so often, a "Wild" space is called, and the players get to watch a clip from a Disney movie. It takes about 20-30 minutes to play the Blackout version of the game. I love the fact that we all can play the game together, everyone is quiet and in one place, AND having fun!!!! Anything that helps me accomplish that is priceless in my book.

BINGO EASY SIGHT WORDS GR K-2 Review

BINGO EASY SIGHT WORDS GR K-2
Average Reviews:

I am a preschool teacher and we have recently incorporated(fMeet the Sight Words Box Set (Meet the Sight Words 1, Meet the Sight Words 2, Meet the Sight Words 3) into the curriculum, this game is a wonderful way to reinforce the learning they are getting from the DVDs. Of course, there are more words in the bingo game than there are on the DVD's from Preschool Prep, however, the kids who have retained 40-50 sight words are quick to find the words. I am presently working with 3 year olds and it is amazing to see them blossom into these wonderful readers who are, all of a sudden, finding words all around them. I had one child approach me the other day and tell me that balloon had the words all and on in it! The game pieces that come with the game are just little red paperboard squares, so we use counting bears instead, and I laminated the callers cards for durability. I should get many years of use out of it. I highly reccomend this product.

Multiplication Bingo Review

Multiplication Bingo

My third grade son loves playing board games. When he began learning multiplication in school he was having difficulty and this was an inexpensive way to have fun while practicing the subtraction facts. It has been a huge help and he has fun while he is learning - rather than sitting at the table with pencil and paper all of the time.
One thing I particularly like abouot this game is that if your child is having trouble with certain groups of facts (such as multiplying by 7's), you can be sure to call those cards each time to increase the repetition in which they must calculate those problems. One thing I don't like is that for some kids, or kids just beginning learning their multiplication, it is hard to calculate the problems in their head without writing it down and working it through on paper - this can be easily solved though by giving them a scratch pad and pencil while they play.

Harold and the Purple Crayon Game Review

This game is a hit with my 11 yr. old son, who has moderate to high-functioning autism, and also with his 4 yr. old sister. My son needs to work on his language skills, and likes to draw, so it is therapy that he likes! His sister also loves the game, and has no trouble remembering the story line as each person adds to the drawing/story board. The game/story is different each time, so it's interesting to me to play along with them. The cards with the drawings help children to expand their topics, which is an issue with most autistic kids. The gameboard wipes off better if you use a paper towel as recommended, then wipe off with a damp paper towel.

Front Porch Classics State Fair Bingo Review

Front Porch Classics State Fair Bingo
Average Reviews:

My son, learning of Bingo at his grandmother's senior housing apartment complex, loves it. He had always wanted to be the one calling out the numbers and he now is.
The wheel works great and nicely dispences one numberered sphere at a time;
Some of the sphere markings make it difficult to actually read the letter and number. Fortunately, one can easily deduce whatever is missing;
Large wooden block with concave spots for the spheres is nice.
Just as the Signature Edition has the traditional, "old," look to it, some of the numbers on the cards are off-set and difficult to read.
Also, I was surprised that a new set like this had windows that were difficult to slide open and closed.

Autentica - Loteria - 10 Tablas Review

Autentica - Loteria - 10 Tablas
Average Reviews:

Que Pasa? Lotteria, that's what...
This is a Mexican Bingo game. The caller has a deck of cards that he or she uses to call the spaces. The players each have their own picture card and when they hear the name of a space on their card they cover it with a bean. The caller first says the name and then flashes the card so that people who are unfamiliar with the Spanish words can glance at the picture. The caller tries to go fairly quickly to keep the game lively, and there is no repeating. The first player to get a bingo (lotteria) yells, LOTTERIA!!! After someone has gotten a lotteria you can have everyone keep their beans on their cards and the next bingo will be the first person to get all four corners. After that winner, you can go on to a blackout.
We played this game after a Mexican dinner that I hosted and we had so much fun with it. We played it by making everyone ante a dime to the pot for each game that we played. The winner of each lotteria got the dimes in the pot. At the end of the game everyone counted their winnings (dimes) and were awarded first, second, and third place prizes (items that I picked up at our local Mexican grocery store).
It is a great game for learning Spanish words and would be a MUY FANTASTICO game for an elementary classroom teacher to use with her students as a fun way to review some of the Spanish words they are learning.
One of the ways it is played in Mexico is that instead of the caller just calling the Spanish words, he or she makes up a rhyme for that word and the players have to guess what the word is. The caller will show the card briefly after a small wait and then quickly go on to the next card.
Add a touch of flare to your next Fiesta party!
