I think all kids like counting (and mooching) money. My two sons also kept asking me how much things cost, how much money they would have left if they bought that toy, etc. As they began learning about money in school, that curiosity seemed to get even stronger.
My sons love playing board games so I purchased this bingo as a fun, interactive way for them to learn their money facts. None of us have been disappointed - and this is something we can all do together (one son is 7 and at the top of his class, the other is 9 and slightly delayed) so this is perfect for them to learn together. One note of caution, though, is to watch out for the "winner" - at first they argued or got hurt feelings because they couldn't both win.
Which brings me to the other thing I really like about this bingo game - you pick and choose which amounts you call by peeking at the deck first. This can help ensure that if I play two games - each boy gets to win once. It is also very helpful if there are certain combinations of money that the child is having trouble with - you can be sure to always call those cards to increase the repetition the child has to calculate those amounts.
