Outta Control Review

I found this game at a garage sale many years ago and it is a keeper. I don't usually win since my memory is not the best but My adult kids and I have so much fun playing it. You have a pile of do cards and a pile of don't cards. Before your turn begins you have to remember the do cards in order and do those tings, if you mess up you lose your turn but if you get them right you do whatever you land on such has maybe pick up a card and you can't touch your hands together till you next turn and you have to give one chip to whoever you want. You are trying to be the first to get rid of all your chips. Its hard to remember the do pile since it changes all the time. The fun is that you may have to do a sequence of do's such as balk like a chicken, whistle your favorite song, walk around the table and draw your name in the air. By the end of the game you will be so afraid to do anything because all during the game you were told not to do those thing like don't touch your hands together, don't say a certain name or word, both feet can't touch the floor, no elbows on the table, hands can't touch your face, and usually that's right when your nose has a itch and drives you crazy! If a person at the table catches you doing one of the don't cards then they buzz in and give you one of their chips. You will have so much fun playing this game! I was so happy when I found this game again at a garage sale this past summer. I gave that one to my daughter to have. I gave it a three star for educational because it is good for the memory part, sometimes you just wanna have plain old fun and stir your brain up in a whole different way!

The game with the electronic buzzer! Why are you patting your head? And flapping your arms like a chicken? Have you flipped your lid? No, you're just taking your turn in this hilarious family game that has you do some pretty funny things and absolutely, positively Don't do others, like point, or scratch! It starts off easy, with just a couple things to remember... but keep adding a do card here and a don't card there and it gets a bit tougher to remember what to do (or not do)and in what order

Parker Brothers Card Games: Racko, Free Parking, Rook Review

I've had this game before and it got ruined, so I was thrilled to see it on Amazon.com and had to buy it. However, my excitement was short lived. I couldn't get it to even load on my computer, I even tried a different computer and it wouldn't load on it either. It makes a handy "bookend" to keep my other games from tipping over though. It would have been nice to play it again, if anyone wants it they are welcome to it.

Millennium Edition 2000 Monopoly Game Review

Millennium Edition 2000 Monopoly Game

If you like the classic Monopoly, this is the same game, with a few upgrades that unfortunately aren't worth it. The Millinium Edition has a new style of almost transparent plastic currency that is difficult to read. If you hold a bill in your hands for only a few seconds it begins to curl so much so that you cannot read the denomination. Sure, the plastic is trendy and more durable but it curls up and won't uncurl unless pressed flat applying warmth. AND the shiny holographic surface of the board looks great, but try picking up the card stacks to replace a played card. The surface is too slippery. The only upgrades I liked were the new tokens and the stacking houses.

Arch Rival the Game of Balance Review

Arch Rival the Game of Balance
Average Reviews:

I have had this game since I was about as tall as the box itself, still the most fun of all the games in my closet. It is a pretty obscure game (many people have no idea what it is when I mention it) but simple to play! The idea is much like "Jenga" meets "Don't Break the Ice" and put into an arch shape...
Set up the arch using the frames, pull out the frames VERY carefully, then roll the numbered die to determine the order of turns. Players roll the color and numbered die to determine which colored box and how many pieces they must place in that box. Pieces can be any shape or color, be stacked in every way possible. "Archrival" die rolls mean someone else chooses either a color or a box for the current player to place pieces into. If you run out of pieces before the arch falls, roll the colored die and remove all pieces from the box matching the color rolled ("Archrival" rolls are the same idea), play until all pieces are removed (to be put back in) or until arch falls. My friend and I have made it to 10 rounds before collapsing the arch. any one who pushes, bumps, or shakes the table (whether their turn or not) and causes the arch to fall will be considered the loser by default.
My only regret: that there are only 50 pieces to play with. I'm hoping Hasbro (Parker Brothers was bought by Hasbro) will be able to dig some out of a back room somewhere. Played it again last night with some college friends, we had a blast! Definitely suggest this for kids and adults!

Hollywood Domino Premier Edition Review

Hollywood Domino Premier Edition

Ever since we got this game we've been spending a lot more time with family and friends. We have all our neighbors interested, we're organizing game nights, and we're having a great time. We used to do this a lot when I was a kid, and this new game has got us back into the habit of having fun as a family. Instead of going out and dropping a bundle of money on a movie or show that half of us aren't really excited about, we stay home, build a fire, and enjoy ourselves. We like this game so much we just bought five for Christmas gifts.

Star Wars: Power of the Force > Escape the Death Star Action Figure Game Review

Star Wars: Power of the Force > Escape the Death Star Action Figure Game
Average Reviews:

I remember buying this when it came out in 1998 just to get my hands on the 2 exclusive Star Wars action figures, the same size as the other Kenner figures. It was a Han Solo in the Stormtrooper suit from the trash compactor, and Darth Vader with removable dome helmet. They both came with light sabers. As it turned out the game was fun after all, and kept us busy that summer.

Probe Parker Brothers Game of Words 1964 Edition Review

Probe Parker Brothers Game of Words 1964 Edition
Average Reviews:

This game is so much fun. My family always plays when we all get together. Each person comes up with a word that is 7-12 letters long. Once every person has their word he/she looks through the letter cards and spells out the word (face down) on the plastic word trays. It's similar to wheel of fortune as each person goes around guessing letters off of other people's words. Points are awarded for guessing letters in the words. The trays say how many points is earned for each letter of the word. (ex: the first letter is worth 5 points, the second is worth 10 and so on...) This is a lot of fun and it expands your vocabulary. I am so surprised that newer versions of this game have not been made.

Catch Phrase! Review

Catch Phrase

My whole family rented a cabin for Thanksgiving '05 and a cousin brought this game. At first I was like "I don't want to play it sounds stupid." They convinced me and I am happy they did. We got up to like 12 people playing and had the best time during our stay playing this game. It's so fun to try and get your team to say the word before the buzzer. After a while I had a rythm with a couple of my family members and we were getting really good at guessing eachothers words. This game could last forever. We played it for 4 hours nonstop on one of the nights. If you play, get alot of people. It's fun with a couple, but it's soooo much better with 10 or so people. And switch up the teams every once in a while to keep things fresh
