It is in the product description that this game only covers letters A-N. Unfortunately, I didn't see that. Who would do an alphabet game with only half of the alphabet? Kind of disappointing after I got so excited to find what looked like a good alphabet game in Spanish...

Chutes and Ladders Diego Edition Review

Chutes and Ladders Diego Edition

We love this Diego edition of Chutes and Ladders. My son is four and he does a pretty good job following the directions.. the only befuddling part is a long standing function of chutes and ladders, moving back and forth (changing directions at each level) across the board. It confuses my poor little sprout every time, especially if he goes up a ladder and is suddenly going the same way he was before instead of the opposite, like he would if he hadn't hit a ladder. lol. In any event, it's super and the characters are adorable and the board is adorable.

Is great!!!! My daughter liked it, but not as much as I liked it! She's two and a half years old, so she didn't pay too much attention to it, but I'm teaching her how to play with it. I hope soon she'll love it as much as I do!.

MagnaPlay Magnetic Wooden Alphabet Picture Puzzle Review

I wasn't sure about this product when I purchased it, but it was definitely worth it. My granddaughter loves putting the pieces together and as she does letter and word recognition take shape. She really enjoys finding the halves to put together, naming the letters and moving the pieces to the refrigerator for display. Some of the pieces can be small, so you need to pay attention if you are having a younger child play the game. We have had no problems, since she understands the purpose of the game and often uses her imagination to "play" with the animals she creates. I really like this puzzle as a learning tool.

The Alphabet Picture puzzle contains 52 self-checking sturdy wooden tiles (26 alphabets) with full magnetic backing. The self-checking feature allows children to play and learn on their own.

This Alphabet Picture puzzle is an excellent interactive and educational learning activity. It helps children develop multi-disciplinary skills such as alphabet identification, sorting, word building and spelling. This activity also helps children work on their matching and fine-motor skills at the same time.

Children will also learn to identify the shapes of the objects in the puzzle. A is for Apple and when children match the right pieces of the puzzle, it will look like an Apple. Children can practice calling out the familiar picture on each puzzle piece as they complete it. This activity will also help children differentiate a Consonant from a Vowel. If the alphabet is written in white it is a consonant and if it is written in yellow, it is a vowel.

The colorful pictures on the tiles will capture the attention of small children and make learning a fun experience. This activity can also be organized as a game between 2 children when at home. Shuffle the puzzle pieces and place them face up and let the children pick up one tile at a time. The child who finishes assembling 13 alphabet puzzles correctly is the winner.

This activity set is designed to be used with the MagnaKase (Item # MP-01-01 - not included) which can serve both as a magnetic activity board and storage case. Children can play with their favorite Alphabet Picture puzzle on the go while in a car seat or in a flight.

Recommended for ages 3 and up. MagnaKase not included. The Alphabet Picture Puzzle is assembled in the United States. 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed.

Noodleboro Fun Park Sharing Game Review

Noodleboro Fun Park Sharing Game

Though the idea of teaching kids to share through a fun game is a great one, this game just doesn't get it quite right. The CD and story book were fun for my kids to listen to but the game itself poses very little challenge. The children just kind of "go through the motions" completing the extremely simple carnival games. There are also tons of tiny pieces required to play the game, bound to get lost at some point.

Lauri Toys Busy Bug Collector Magnetic Game Review

Lauri Toys Busy Bug Collector Magnetic Game
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I got this for my 4 yr old daughter for Christmas who asked for a game. She loves board games and does not care for computer games at all so it was difficult to find a truly educational board game that was not too easy for her but also that was not so difficult that it was not fun. This game, which is of very good quality has a game board that is in four durable pieces which look like a puzzle. So the child puts the four pieces together to form the game board. There are 4 different colored game characters to choose from which are 4 little boys with bug nets. (only problem i had with it is they didnt have boys and girls mixed which my daughter picked up on right away) The players each get a durable game card shaped like a bug jar. The player roles the die, follows that many spaces along the trail. All the spaces are identified with either a + or - number. So if the player roles a 4, and they move 4 spaces and land on a space that has a +3, they ADD three bugs to their jar. The bugs are magnetic so they magnetize to the jar. If on their next role, they land on a space with a -1, then they have to SUBTRACT 1 bug from their jar. This goes on till they reach the end of the game board. The time of the game goes fast which is nice for this age group which I believe the box has listed as ages 3-6? There are two or three different ways to end the game and the players decide that from the start; either by whoever has the most bugs or whoever gets to the finish line first, etc... which is nice as there are several ways to win so the game is different each time. I also found, in addition to the game teaching basic math with addition and subtraction that if you land on a space that requires the player to subtract more than what they have on the card, you can introduce negative and positive. When the game is done, each player can then look at the bugs in their own jar and then identify each one by using the insect key/guide that comes with it. A nice game, my daughter likes it a lot and I am happy with it as well.

Animal Bingo Review

My daughter is now 3, but this was her absolute FAVORITE first game. She found some family member literally everyday to play it with her in the months just after she turned 2. It really is a great first game: the only skill required is to match the animal to the identical space on your card, no counting or color recognition even is required. Most 2 & 3 yr. olds LOVE animals (we learned lots of sounds and that bunnies hop, snails are very slow, skunks stink, and much, much, more as we talked about the chips and let them crawl or hop or quack their way to their respective card as they were drawn). A game can be completed in about 5 minutes-no attention span worries. There's not even much need to have mastered taking turns if everyone is willing to let the little one draw the chip from the drawstring bag, he or she will feel constantly engaged even if animal drawn is not an animal on their card. There is no need to define a clear winner- we yell "Bingo on the green card!" and always play until all of the cards have achieved "Bingo!". You could simplify by playing one card each, but we always play all of them. The artwork is great. We highly recommend this one.

We used this game at our Harvest Fest this year. The quality of the sandwich pieces held up to several hundred kids. I appreciated the booklet that came with the cards and durability of the sandwich pieces because it gave us a variety of options. The games can be played by one or several kids. It was a hit and will be used again next year. I'm glad that I ran into this at our local toy store!
