My son received this game for Xmas.
It is a SUPER game. In fact it would be a great first game for a child. the game board is a big foam 5 piece "puzzle" that fits together. It has nice big space for the active kids who are always moving around. Easy to move pieces (the spaces are big enough we routinely use little peoples or various toys as game pieces, which the kids love!!!
It is an easy game, much like candy land and doesnt take long to play.

I Can Do That Games - Green Eggs and Ham Speedy Dinner Game Review

I Can Do That Games - Green Eggs and Ham Speedy Dinner Game
Average Reviews:

Wow! My kids are pretty active, and they got into this game right away. (They are almost-4, and almost 6.)
You can play the game with two people, but it is better with three or four. One person is the "chef", who reads out the menu items that need to be delivered to each "customer" (there are plates for the goat, the fox, and the mouse). Sometimes you need to take things away, and sometimes you need to switch things. The game is scored with "coins", and the amount is determined by how correct all 3 orders are at the end, and how quickly the items are delivered.
The game pieces are a heavy cardboard, which so far have held up pretty well. The menu is a plastic "book" where the chef clicks thru the various items (which are all pictures, so even my 4 year old can take a turn at Chef).
The kids enjoy the fast pace of the game. You can make it more difficult by placing the diners farther away from the "kitchen" (where the players pick up the menu items). I like the fact that they need to work together to get a good score.

The fast-paced frenetically fun food game! Sam-I-Am has opened a café and invited his friends, Fox, Mouse, and Goat, for dinner. Help serve up his signature green eggs and ham along with a menu full of other silly Seussian foods. Listen closely because these critter customers can't decide what to eat! And hurry, hurry, hurry-the musical timer is playing and speedy service is the key to 5-star success! In this fast-paced, frenetically fun game for preschoolers, players work together to deliver food to the café guests as fast as they can. Take turns being the Chef calling out orders to the other players, who serve as waiters, running back and forth to pick up the foods and deliver them to the correct customers. The faster you deliver the food, the more tips you'll make! But watch out-when you hear "Bugs in the Kitchen!" you've got to race back to the dining room and check all the tables for insects. Players use color, shape and other pre-reading skills to identify food items and counting to collect their reward coins. Inspired by the classic Dr. Seuss children's story, Green Eggs & Ham - Speedy Diner! Game serves up big laughs and fast-action role-play fun. The Grinch - Sing Your Heart Out Review

The Grinch - Sing Your Heart Out
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If it isn't clear from the description, this card game is based on the Grinch, stealing of the Whoville gifts, and singing. There's a "singing detector" and you need to sing loudly enough (and long enough) to trigger it. Okay, so there you have it.
For the simplicity (despite the electronic core of the game, it is simple) you actually have quite a fun game. The kids (nine years old) got a kick out of it. And we had a ball.
But there wasn't a lot of interest in returning to the game again a couple days later. The novelty wore off very quickly. We'll see if it returns...
Just to note, the kids love to sing anyway, know a fair number of songs, and especially like Christmas songs. The game is probably more interesting to younger children, so I'd especially recommend it for the 4-8 year olds.

The game of team-work, singing and surprising sleigh-rides! The Grinch is out to steal the Whos' gifts-but your family can save the day. Only your singing will warm the Grinch's heart and bring his sleigh full of stolen gifts speeding down Mt. Crumpit and back to Who-ville! Collect Who tiles and gifts with each player's turn. But watch out-draw the wrong tile and the Grinch will steal the gifts back! When that happens, team up with your family or friends: If you sing LONG ENOUGH and LOUD ENOUGH, the Electronic Singing Detector will hear your singing and actually launch the sleigh on its wild ride down Mt. Crumpit! Connect all 12 Who Tiles plus matching gifts, and you win! I Can Do That! Games Ages: 5+

I was hoping it would be more fun - it was ok. Not enough "present" pieces to use as markers and the pictures on the cards are a bit tough to discern. It's a little tough for younger children to play. The Who House is cute and the concept is good - older kids or adults will have to help younger children.

I have twin four year old girls. They love this game. It is easy enough for them to play by themselves or with grownups. It is a great combination of a matching game and a review of great books by Dr. Seuss. Being a school librarian, I love the game for its exposure to the great literature of Dr. Seuss.

Dr. Seuss Trivia Game Review

Dr. Seuss Trivia Game
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I LOVE Dr. Seuss. And I love his books. But this game is too much. Either the questions require virtual memorization of a Seuss book like this: "In 'If I Ran the Circus,' which character has a crab apple shot off his head by a Blindfolded Bowman? a)Morris McGurk, b)Sneelock, or c)Bartholomew Cubbins";
Or the question is really easy, as in this question: "He sat in a terrible prickly place. But he sang with a sunny sweet smile on his _______: a)face b)grace c)lace. "
If you knew the answer to the first question (Sneelock), this may be the right game for you. But if you are just a Seuss lover, you might want to skip this game. Sorry.

Horton Hears a Who - You to the Rescue

I love this game. I bought it for my niece and nephew a while back and since then have given it out as a birthday gift to two of my friend's kids. In all cases, it has been a huge hit, and I've heard that kids keep asking to play this one over and over. They never tire of pretending to be Horton, putting on the Horton mask, and racing around the house to rescue the Whos. Kids particularly think it's hilarious when grown ups put on the Horton mask. Very clever and sweet; perfect for preschoolers.

Oh The Places You'll Go - Board Game Review

Oh The Places You'll Go - Board Game

This is a fun game, similar to the Life game, which kids choose which activities in life they would rather do, for example climb Mount Everest or be in a Broadway show. Some of the questions are a bit hard for an 8 year old to grasp, although the game is rated for ages 8 and up, and some of the 8 year olds think the questions are wierd, but it's really just that the content is more original and imaginative than most games. I love it because it opens their minds to things in the world they don't usually think about, and the more questions they ask about the "wierd" questions, the more they learn!

I can't believe how much fun we've had with this game. It's not your typical board game, it gets you up and moving, tieing knots, making paperairplanes, performing feats, and brain challenges. I bought this game as a gift filler and am so happy I did. The boys love that the girls have to say "Boys are Fantastic, Girls are elastic" in order to play.

Purchased this product for a November 2009 birthday. The recipient was a four year old boy. It kept his attention and he enjoyed the competition. He was a little too short to stretch all items, but we compensated for him. It was fun for all of us playing. It challenged his ability to follow directions and execute the required movement and would be considered age appropriate.

My son received this game as a Christmas gift and we had such fun playing it today. The bottom of the box is the game board which you shake to mix up the objects inside. Each "window" is covered by a puzzle piece, and the spinner tells you which window to uncover. You then look for the objects pictured on the cards in the windows. It is simple and fast and my son loved shaking the board and looking for the objects. Highly recommend.
