I love Monty Hall. When I was a kid, I use to watch Lets Make A Deal..and love it! I would play along and say make the deal, watch out, etc
Now to the DVD game...Even through it has host Monty Hall which brings back memories of the clkassic show. However this DVD seem to repeat itself and gets boring really fast. and there are more zonks than prizes. I will take door number four... the one not playing this game--and if you are smart you will too

Family Feud 2 Edition DVD Game Review

(More customer reviews)One of them most sucessful game shows of all time is Family Feud. The show has had a lot of great family fun and a lot of exciting moments from original host Richard Dawson, to its recent entry as a host John O' Hurley, who recently earned his praaise from Dancing With The Stars, and also hosted the short-lived revival of To Tell The Truth back in 2000. Yet, for Family Feud as a DVD previously, it didn't really seem to shine that well like the original way the game show is played on television, or from several other home versions of the classic game show. Now with all the hype of the show, there is a sequel to the Family Feud DVD game that misses the mark like it did before.
Family Feud Survey Says 2nd edition DVD game, is a bit of a twist on the classic game show format. This edition of the game show pits you and a partner against the big board, where you have to match you answers with the top answers on the top 5 survey. There are absolutely no strikes on this survery. Instead, you are going back and forth trying to match wits, and score as high as possible. The fast money game is also under that same problem, where only the number one answers are given, instead if the smaller numbered answers on the survey. There also are a couple of diasadvantages with this DVD game. The disc features Richard Karn, who ended his run as host of Family Feud earlier this year, instead of John O' Hurley, and he isn't narrating the questions like he did as host. Instead, the feuds announcer Burton Richardson is giving the questions to the players at home.
All in all, the Family Feud survey says game wasn't really what I was expected from it. I was hoping that a lot of the mistakes from the previous game were fixed but I was wrong. Instead, I realy recommend the edition you could buy from the internet at iwin.com instead. It is a much more fun and challenging edition, with all of the classic fun at the same price.

Imagination Fact Or Crap Board Game Review

(More customer reviews)First; this is a game for adults because many of the questions relate to cultural realities from the 20th century. So those who decided to let their children read the title of the game just chill because the game isn't meant for them.
Second; we first played this game at a coffeehouse across from our daughter's college campus. None of us knew the rules and we just started playing. We had such a great time that we went and purchased the game (TV version)! Tonight we opened the box and once again were laughing with friends. This game does have a simplicity that lets everyone participate even if they aren't 'experts' in a topic unlike some adult games that just shut off some players who are overwhelmed by a topic. This is about having fun ... not about scoring on an IQ test.
My only critique is that the creators have not provided the FACT to those questions whose correct answer is CRAP. I would have liked to know what the right answers were but this is a minor detail because I made plenty of guesses tonight when I didn't have any idea what the answer was and I had FUN!
So, if you like to get friends together for a fun night ... add this to your collection of party games. I know I am hoping that there will be other editions in addition to the original and the TV FACT or CRAP that we just bought.

So at first seeing this game, I was a bit worried it would be another travesty like the growing list of the poorly designed and executed Imagination DVD "games". However, I was very pleasantly surprised at first play.
The folks at Mattel did a wonderful job! This is most likely the first DVD game in the US that is not only faithful to the game, but is fun, and for the first time, it's a DVD game with actual interactivity! Something that is not often seen in DVD "games" these days. Plus it's also one of the first DVD games I've seen with a rock solid one player option.
The questions in this game have never repeated in repeated plays. Also, the game is also so well designed, that it played on every DVD player I tried it on with no errors or flaws. This is another terrific plus.
Pick this up! It's quite possibly the best American DVD game to date!

Fact or Crap Game Review

(More customer reviews)The world does not need another trivia game, where a well-timed "guess" can win over legitimate knowledge of a subject.
That, in a nutshell, is about all you need to know about Fact or Crap.
What's worse is: some of the questions are poorly worded, and will no doubt result in an argument that will only be solved by (in the best case) somebody whipping out their web-enabled cell phone and Googling the subject or (in the worst case) somebody leaving the game upset.
Case in point: A question said (paraphrased) "Nails grow throught one's life", and the answer was "crap", with no explanation given. This resulted in a bit of an argument, and we still don't know what the truth is. The card wound up being removed from the game.
Every time you play this game, you will have one of these questions.
This game is tedious, and cheaply made to boot. The "tokens" are simply cardboard punchouts. The cards are not quality laminated cardstock like you'd get in a game like Trivial Pursuit. There are plenty of better trivia games, sold at a lower price, with better construction.
On the plus side: it is easy to find a used copy...

(More customer reviews)I was very disappointed when I received this. The quality is excellent, BUT it is for 3 or more players. Most other Sudoku games I have seen are for 1 or more players. I doubt this game will get much use because it will be very rare that three or more "Sudoku players" will be around with time to spare for a game. This game is not good unless you have a family--or a group of friends--in which all members play and enjoy Sudoku.
This is not the choice to make if you have found you enjoy Sudoku as a hobby and you want to play with it more, UNLESS you are part of a group that loves Sudoku! I wish I had known that three players are needed beforehand; I would have made a different and better choice.

Summary of the game: the object is to get your two pieces from one side of the board to the other by answering questions that are partial to the opposite sex. For example, the men's card may ask "how many bolts are on a tire" and the women will have to answer. One of the questions on the women's card is "What does DKNY stand for" and the men have to answer this one. There are three questions on each card of increasing difficulty, and you can ask them in any order.
