Thomas Magic RR w/ Free Trading Cards Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We got this last year when my son was four and he couldn't get enough of it. It's easy to play and a lot of fun. We are still playing it. Even little brother (age 2) plays (with help from mom). You spin the spinner and go where it tells you to, then pick a card to tell you where to go next. It's all pictures, no words or numbers, so it's easy for preschoolers to play. The object is to collect enough magic gold dust to get to the magic track before Diesel. He loves to save Lady before Diesel gets her.

Reiner Knizia Hollywood Blockbuster Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Hollywood Blockbuster is an adaptation of a popular game over from Europe. It can be played with up to 5 players and the rules are pretty simple. You get a hand of 3 movies that you want to produce, all with empty slots where directors, movie stars, effects and guest stars would go. So each turn you bid on different things that are available on that turn that can help you finish your movie. When you complete all the spaces on the card, your movie is done and is scored based on the value of the pieces you used to finish it. A 5 star director is worth more points than a 3 star one and so on. The directors and stars (as well as the movies) have parody names on them based on some of Americas more famous actors so it's good for a chuckle. If you are into party games that have simple rules and a group of people that enjoy making fun of things, this is a game you could enjoy.

Monopoly Indiana Jones Edition Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The packaging for this Indiana Jones version of Monopoly - a wooden shipping box like the crate for the Ark in "Raiders" - is certainly unique; the rest of the game is well-conceived, too. Other reviews I read (on other sites) said that some of the property cards were misprinted but ours, purchased in Dec. 2008, are all correct. Hasbro seems to have corrected the misprint. The only negatives I would give this version is that (1) the houses (golden idols) tend to fall over and (2) there is no Ark of the Covenant player piece. But overall, Hasbro has done a great job on this game.

Scene It? The DVD Game - Sequel Pack Movie Edition Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have Disney Scene It and Disney Scene It 2, and I wanted some non-Disney Scene It games. I got the game in the mail two days ago and I've already played it twice! It is so much fun. Some of the questions are really hard, but there are enough "easy" ones to counter.
I'd totally recommend this to anybody who loves movies!

Usaopoly Transformers Collector's Edition Monopoly Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The pewter pieces are are too small. That ends the negative portion of this review. I'm glad to see this wasn't just a reprint of the original game like so many other monopoly games. They actually incorporated some new rules. They do add another dimension of play without taking away from the things that make monopoly popular. It will be worth the money if you are in to transformers.

Cineplexity Game Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Since it comes from Out of the Box games -- who make the wildly addictive Apples to Apples --- and since I'm a film buff, I figured this would be enjoyable. But I had no idea that it would be such a blast to play.
It does require a decent knowledge of movies, but you don't have to be an expert -- you just have to be able to put together odd concepts like "a science fiction film that included a slow-motion scene" and be first to come up with an answer. When I played for the first time with a group of friends, we played several rounds the winners were rarely those of us with the most film knowledge. It's as much about making connections as it is actual movie knowledge.
Since the game comes with hundreds of cards and each "clue" is a combination of two random selections, there's almost infinite replay potential. It's a simple idea without complicated rules, and enormously fun. I'd recommend it for any adults or kids over 13 who love movies.

Scene It? Deluxe Movie Edition Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The game play is similar to "Trivial Pursuit" but with the added features of movie clips and video puzzles. There are a lot of "All Plays" where both teams get to compete which is a lot of fun and a special party play that doesn't require the board.
All in all it is a fun game for all and especially fun for movie buffs, but since some of the video puzzles don't require you too have seen the particular movie before, all can enjoy and compete.
The only downside is the limited amount of movie clips. They use the same ones on occasion but with different questions. Not a that big a deal, but can grow to be annoying if you wanted to play every week.

Attack of the Clones Mace Windu (Geonosian Rescue) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I just got Mace today at toysrus. This Mace looks just like SamueL Jackson. This figure comes with lightsaber slashing action. {movie spoiler alert}if you have final battle JangoFett you can recreate the seen where Jangos head is cut of.This figure is hard to stand on its self but its possible. This figure is good but the lihgtsaber sometimes flys of when using slashing action.Anoter thing about this figure is the expression on its face.It looks like he's crying. This figure is good overall and a must have for fans.

Monopoly Game Star Wars Saga Edition Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)It had been a while since I've taken a look at both Star Wars and Monopoly...Due to the hype for the new movie (EPS 3), I got back into Star Wars...This caused a mass compulsive buying of alot of SW merchandise. One of those items happened to be Star Wars Monopoly.
The paper money is cheap as always...it feels like it'll rip any second...it couldve been a little more durable.
The cities and settlements are sculpted great, and the game board has beautiful art on it.
The game pieces
Darth Vader
Darth Maul
Darth Sidious
Luke Skywalker
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Princess Leia
Yoda
General Grievous
are all extremely well made, bringing characters from all 6 movies.
My only gripe is that they included Grevious over someone like Han Solo or Boba Fett...I don't care for Leia or Yoda much, so I wouldnt have minded those two replaced with some old favorites.
All in all, a great buy and tons of fun to play.
GET THIS!
