(More customer reviews)I bought this puzzle to assemble with a family of 10 during Christmas. It was a lot of fun and once we committed a little time to the puzzle, we were hooked and couldn't stop until it was finished. The main ages at work on the puzzle was me (32), my sister-in-law (28) and my mother (54). Along with us was my daughter, who is age 6. To our complete & utter surprise, she had a wonderful time helping and did an excellent job! I honestly thought this puzzle would be too difficult for her (as the pieces are small and there are quite a lot of them), but we were all pleasantly amazed to see she had worked out an entire face by herself!! She loved it and we all had a wonderful time working on it together.
The only con about the puzzle is the colors are not as vibrant as I would have liked. They are, however, just like shown in the photo. You can see by the photo that it is a bit grainy, just like the movie.
All in all, it a wonderful puzzle to do together during the Christmas holiday.

Optimum Fulfillment M & M's Twin Pack Review

It was sent in a padded envelope, and it arrived dented (the top surface got pushed down, and it left a dent that I can't push out). The tin is really quite cheap and thin. Since I bought this as a keepsake item, I was disappointed. But, after looking it over several times, I realize the decoration of the tin isn't really meant to be collectible. So, it is what it is - a place to keep the cards. If your kids are going to beat it up anyway, then you have no worries.
I haven't opened the playing cards, so I can't say if they are quality cards, or thin cheapies. I suspect the latter, which may be why I haven't opened them (putting off the disappointment).
The price seems to me just about average for two new decks of playing cards, so I guess they're meant to be played with and enjoyed. If that's what you're after, go for it. (Perhaps someone who has actually opened the cards will post more pictures of them). If you're after a collectible, think three times about what you'll get, then ask the seller to send it in a cardboard box.
12/16/08 Update: I paid $10 for this set, plus $6.99 shipping. The price seems to have increased quite a bit since then...
Also, I've opened the cards, and they are fairly thick and very very glossy. Not bad quality. But, only the face cards (and the Ace I think) have m&m's characters on them. The rest are plain regular cards.

(More customer reviews)This is a perfect gift for all those "A Christmas Story" fans out there! The package that the puzzle comes in is hilarious! The puzzle itself is pretty cool. It is one of the iconic images from the film that most people recognize. I love it!! I don't know if this puzzle has an "educational value" so I only gave it three stars only for the fact that its a puzzle, and you can learn to put the pieces together. Although, I will say that I bought this for an adult, not a child. The pieces are much smaller than kid friendly puzzles. As for durability, you know that the pieces will start to show wear and tear. But all puzzles do that, unless they are made out of titanium! OVERALL- this puzzle is AMAZING!!

M.C. Escher Concave and Convex 1000pc Jigsaw Puzzle Review

(More customer reviews)This is one of the easiest Escher puzzles by Pomegranate. The thick green border makes it relatively easy to assemble, and the large blocks of solid color with very little repetition help a novice to find the right part. Compared to other puzzles in the series, it may take as little as half the time of other titles (especially the House of Stairs puzzle) to assemble. Even so, it took me about 30 hours to complete.
From a material point of view, I've been very happy with all Pomegranate puzzles. The pieces are even more solid than those from Ravensburger, and they are very well cut. I haven't had any pieces sticking together when I opened the box, and all puzzles fit together beautifully.
Highly recommended for all obsessive compulsive individuals.

It did not take long to complete, maybe two hours, but it was fun, and it's large enough that both my girlfriend and myself were able to work on it without getting in one another's way. It's also well-made. The pieces are sturdy, the image is well-printed on them, and the whole thing fits together very well. An excellent jigsaw puzzle.

However, the difficulty lies in the picture having lots of streaks and dots of various colors. It is overall a beautiful piece of work.
