Cardboard Designs Teepee Review

Cardboard Designs Teepee

I purchased this teepee for my son who is not yet 2. It is wonderful. he has a great place to draw, hide and express his growing imagination. He loves to dive into the teepee when running away from me when i'm trying to wipe his nose, put on his coat, pants etc... or just a good old fashioned game of chase...
It is up permanently in the living room so he can go to it at any time to express his creativity.
Of course it is cardboard so there is wear and tear but the fun he has in it outweighs this. He won't even let me repair it.
I'd have given it a 5 star if i knew it were made to last a bit longer.

Cardboard Doll House Review

Cardboard Doll House

I purchased this for my 8yr old . It was kind of a pain to put together and then you had to put all the chairs and little pieces all together. I just thought it would be more fun. The best part for her was coloring the bottom-yard, pool, etc. It was ok. Not very durable either.

I gave this as a gift and have since found out that the whole family enjoyed this one. (No, I am assured that wasn't just a polite compliment... they all really, really enjoyed it!) With everyone on the go these days, this is a great idea for any family who is constantly running to get where they want to be when they need to be there. CARCASSONNE - BRIDGES, CASTLES, AND BAZAARS EXPANSION Review

CARCASSONNE - BRIDGES, CASTLES, AND BAZAARS EXPANSION
Average Reviews:

This expansion adds 3 new game mechanics.
1.) Bridges - You only get a limited amount but they can help you tremendously by adding a road to your tile so it can fit in the right place. These bridges are fantastic at making farms connect since you can chose to create a bridge as an extension of a road. At first I didn't use them as much, but they can be a very valuable addition.
2.) Bazaars - We haven't extensively play tested this one, but it was fun when we did use it. Tiles are auctioned and people take turns bidding on how many points they are wiling to buy it. The strategy comes down to knowing who needs the piece more and possibly bidding them up, or outbidding them completely. Be careful however because if you bid 4 points then you go back 4 spaces and the auctioneer goes up by 4 for an 8 point spread. It obviously plays better with more people in the respect.
3.) Castles - A very interesting addition to the game. It kind of plays out like the count of carcassonne by allowing you to get in on the other players points. Again it's a very interesting idea, but the rules leave some things up for interpretation. They are especially a problem with the tower & dragon expansion since it allows your meeples to be in the middle of two tiles.
Overall, the bridges add a nice bit of options and that's only 1/3 of the expansion. The Bazaars could be a hit or miss with the group, but I personally like it. There are only 8 auction tiles in there so it's not as if the game is constantly being paused to auction. The Castles are great in there own. I like all three and you'll probably at least like 2 out of 3 of the addition.

The Bridges, Castles, and Bazaars expansion for Carcassonne brings traveling peddlers into the country who setup bazaars where the art of haggling takes place. At the same time, engineers build bridges to enhance road construction while small castles are built everywhere to secure the region.
Please note: This is not a stand-alone game. A copy of Carcassonne is required to play.

Gamewright Castle Keep, the Game of Medieval Strategy and Siege Review

Gamewright Castle Keep, the Game of Medieval Strategy and Siege
Average Reviews:

There are two ways to play this game. You can play it with basic rules. This game will last about 15-20 minutes with minimal strategy. The second way to play this game is with the advanced rules. THis game will last 30-40 minutes with much more strategy. The best part of this game is that it alows for quick rule explanation and understanding. The worst part about this game is that even with the advanced rules, there is still a huge amount of luck involved. Whatever the case. This is a great game if you are looking for a quick light strategy game.

Transport yourself to a time when protecting your possessions meant defending your keep, the most secure part of the castle. Keeps were often called ?great towers because of their imposing structure walls over 10 feet thick and 75 feet high. They served various functions, from last resort strongholds during battle to sites of castle dungeons. While there are few remaining keeps still standing today, you can get a small taste of what it was like to build and defend a castle in this game that is simple to learn, yet full of strategy and decision-making elements that will challenge all ages.
