(More customer reviews)This appears easier than it is...at least I struggled with it more than expected. A larger puzzle with the same beautiful wood as others, this is an impressive puzzle in part because it seems more simple than it is....or maybe we were having a bad day! Either way, don't be fooled by the simplicity of the form, this provides a serious challenge for the more dedicated enthusiast without stressing you to the point of giving up. Don't leave this one on the coffee table or guests will obsess thorughout the entire evening...it's not a five minute puzzle - at least if you don't peak at the solution!
I own/play with a lot of these puzzles BUT...to get a true sense of the puzzle, I throw out the instructions without ever looking at them whenever bringing home a new puzzle. Also, because my better half is visually impaired, it gives us both a "level" playing field with a little friendly competitive. (More customer reviews)This is a very easy, simple puzzle that would do well as an intro for children or just to use as a fun object of interest on the desk. It will take less than a minute for the average person to solve - perhaps a few more for children. Make with the same quality as other puzzles, a cute novice item for general interest but not sufficient for the avid puzzle fan. I own several of these puzzles so be sure to see my other reviews for level of difficulty and other information.

This is a puzzle that actually looks a lot harder to solve than it really is.However; that all depends on how you start.If it is assembled as shown ,and you look at it for a bit before taking it apart,to which there is no difficulty at all;then it isn't too difficult in putting it together again.
However,if someone were to disassemble it and hand it to you in pieces,and tells you to assemble the pieces into something,the results would be something else.It seems to me that it is unlikely you would come up with the original structure.
It might be fairer to briefly show it assembled,then take it apart,and have them assemble it.
It's an excellent puzzle and will entertailn young and old alike.

Go out on a limb to release the triangles from the sticks and then rebuild the puzzle. Difficulty Level: Medium

(More customer reviews)First of all, we buy a lot of these types of brain teasers and puzzles. This is a well built item, very durable. Originally I expected this to be very easy but to date, it remains unsolved. Everyone from the age of ten to mid-forties has enjoyed trying this out...in fact, it quickly became the center of attention this past weekend as out of town family members ranging in age from 12, 19 to 40 attempted to solve it. None did although the 40 year old worked on it for the better part of an entire afternoon [we lost him to this one]. Another great feature about this one is that it is one piece - unlike others that have multiple pieces that easily get lost or scattered about. Due to that, it is an excellent choice for those that may have young children or pets in the household OR for to take along when traveling.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to unravel this cube into a snake (just twist and swivel the 27 wooden cubes to uncoil the serpent) but it certainly helps to be a genius to put it back together. This legendarily difficult brain-teasing puzzle will have you undulating in no time. If the snake starts to constrict you, just remember: The string of cubes form a Hamiltonian path through a 3󫢫 grid graph, duh! Skill and patience will be tried when turning the snake back into the original cube. Dimensions: 2 1/3" x 2 1/3" x 2 1/3"

Family Games XS Head Stress Series Spheroid IQ Collection Puzzle Review

(More customer reviews)We own a couple dozen (and counting) of these wood brain teaser puzzles and this is one of my favorites; it's not too difficult and not so easy that you don't feel challenged...I'd give it a 4 or 5 out of 10. Unlike some puzzles, this doesn't take up the better part of an afternoon - it is a quick fix which makes it great to set aside while watching television or in an easy to reach location. Warning - you company won't be able to keep their hands off it it! Admittedly, I also find it really attractive which doesn't hurt but is a non-issue. This has a few additional pieces but not so many that you fear having to encounter a scattered mess. Appropriate for older children and adults but younger children might find it a little frustrating depending upon their tolerance to this type of puzzle. This is a bit more fragile than others simply due to the construction required however, it well made and should last a long time with proper use/care.

(More customer reviews)I have a 28 month old grandson. I wanted some new toys for him to play with at my house. I wanted something that would challenge him. He has several other things that I have seen him progress with skills while playing with them. I thought this one would be the same. First, he would learn to remove the pieces and eventually progress to putting the pieces back in. He came over and I got this puzzle out. It started out the way I thought it would. He figured out that he needed to put the magnet on the metal spots, which he did. As he took them out, we talked about the picture on the piece. He wasn't ready to replace the pieces, which was okay. That could come later. What I was not anticipating, but probably should have, was him draping the string around his neck. Talk about choking hazard. We stopped that activity and then he started waving the pole back and forth. We managed to take it away from him before he hit himself or someone else with the magnet on the end. The puzzle is now in the closet and we will wait until he is closer to or past 3 before getting it out again. I want to challenge him, but not at the risk of injuring him.
