Switchboard - Barbie - Version A Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought two of these scooters for my (then) four and six year old children. They are still in use regularly, by my kids as well as neighborhood kids aged from 4 - 12! Although I have since bought them both more expensive and "grown up" scooters, these still get by far the most use. I actually thought when I bought them that at least my 6 year old would soon outgrow it, but for the price I thought it might be worth it. I can't think of any other toy that they still have from 3 years ago that still gets as much use as these do. These have been WELL worth the money.

KidKraft Glow in the dark Space Train Station Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My mother bought this for my 3 year old son for christmas. He is totally in love. he was begging me for 2 days to put it together and i haven't seen him since I set it up! It took me almost an hour to put it all together though. The space stations all have screws in them to keep them from falling apart when the kids play with it. Im thankful I don't have to put that together a hundred times! The track looks sturdy and the glowing feature is really neat. My only complaint is that we have a train table from Target and the space play-board is about half an inch to long for his table. Without the space board the set fits perfectly on the table. So my husband has to figure out how to trim the space board to fit the table now. Other then that no problems at all! I would highly recommend it.

Doodle Pro Nick Jr. Dora the Explorer Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)First off, don't spend anything over $19.99 for this model. They can be found at Toys R Us for that price. I don't know why this one is being sold for almost $40 here.
Even though this is a child's toy, it is not just for children. When I was a child we used to have a device that had a thin piece of pink plastic that covered over a hard white plastic bottom baseboard. When you wrote on it, the plastic would smash together and allow you to see what you wrote. This method worked poorly to say the least. The letters would start to disappear immediately.
My hard witting is not as good as I want it to be. I have been doing handwriting exercises to improve it; but this wastes a lot of paper. So I went looking for the Pink Board. I found out that it had been replaced with this Magnetic-type board. The Doodle Pro seemed like the perfect tool for my needs and it truly is. The Doodle Pro is very solid. Made of hard plastic. It works by using thin Iron pieces locked in between two plastic sheets. When you use the magnetic pen, it drawls the Iron partials together and forms it into what ever shape you wrote it in. The idea works very well. You can shake this thing like crazy and the Iron pieces will stay in there place. When you write out letters, they stay pretty much as they would when written on a sheet of paper. Which makes it perfect for adults who are looking to improve their writing skills.
So if you want to buy one of these for a child, it will withstand their abuse with ease. Just don't feel ashamed if you find it to be a useful tool for yourself.
(((NOTE: Just make sure you buy a Doodle Pro and not some cheap Chinese knock-off. I wasted $30 on some piece of junk being sold here on this web site.)))

Popular Playthings Magnetic Bumper Cars Puzzle Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)First of all, check the measurements, this toy is 'small'.
The first puzzle is simple, ok.. good so far, but there are only 8 puzzles and once you've done them.. well.. that's about it.
My son played with this for a few minutes on his own, fascinated by the magnets. Then we did the first puzzle together. He hasn't touched it since. I really wouldn't recommend this at all. I saw it on Mindware but purchased it here because it was cheaper. If you want to spend around $20 on small plastic cars with magnets in them, by all means grab this. However, there are many other ed toys out there that would easily outshine this. This is summer's garage sale fodder for sure.

6 ft Piano Mat Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The piano mat is a great toy. Both of my kids who love music and dancing enjoy it a lot.
In reference to the comment about a toxic smell: the piano mat doesn't smell at all (and I am very sensitive to that). May be it was another brand, but the piano made by Smart Planet and sold by Back to Basics doesn't have any toxic or other smell. By the way it's cheaper on Amazon than their own website.

Not only that, it's such a versatile game that my husband, 16yr son and 5yr old girl and I are always engaged on all different levels. Pick-Up Lines Game Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)To begin with, the rules are simple... it takes only a few minutes to get the point across so you can get on with the game.
The main point of the game is to respond on paper to a pickup line read aloud. The responses get shuffled around and everyone has to read a response aloud in their best sexy-voice. The judge decides whose answer was the best and they get points. First person to 10 wins.
It is VERY adaptable: the first time we played, we used the all the pieces-- glasses, kisses, olives, special paper, everything. The second time, we dragged out notebook paper and just passed the answers around no longer keeping score of who was "winning".
We found that this game can be played in two ways (though it is not in the rules): to react positively to the pick up line-- with a pickup line of your own, or to react negatively to the pick up line, thus trying to get rid of the person trying to pick you up. We would agree when we decided to make a round a "Kiss Off" round-- and we would try our best to come up with an answer that would make someone run the other way. It really made the game fun and versatile!
This game is for adults. The dirty answers that naturally come to mind while playing make it inappropriate for people under that age of 18. It can be pretty hilarious trying to read in a sexy-voice to a family member, so keep that in mind-- some families would not find this funny, others would think it is HILARIOUS.
