(More customer reviews)I bought this game for my 6 year old, and we have had more fun playing it. The rules have been simplified just right for younger children to play without losing a lot of the fun for adults. I especially liked the use of lower denominations on the money - $1, $2, $3, $4, and $5. This allows my son to act as bank and has been wonderful practice for him in simple math and making change. Each card also contains interesting and educational facts about different sea creatures. I would defiantly recommend this game!

Monopoly Town Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this game for my sons 5th birthday thinking it'd be a lot of fun to play and he could play with ease. Imagine the disappointment he and I both felt when it didn't work. The car counts the spaces as you move it, however it didn't always register the spaces.. sometimes I could move 4-5 spaces and it'd only count 1, and sometimes I'd move 1 space as told and it'd tell me to move back 3. We returned it and got a new one hoping it was just a defective one, but no, the second one was just as horrible. We returned it and are looking at other games for him now.

(More customer reviews)My four year old received this game as a gift. He learned the rules and was winning his share of games after only a few tries. It is a great gift for any child who loves Toy Story. It is also great at teaching basic math ($1-$5) and of course for those life lessons such as "sometimes you don't win." My only complaint is that they really skimped on the game pieces -- they are the wrong size for the board (too large) and are made of very thin cardboard.

The money is in smaller increments so it's easier for the children to manage, and it takes much less time to play Monopoly, Jr., than it does to play the adult version of Monopoly, so the game is fun - not tedious. That's what we like so much about Monopoly, Jr. My children - ages 5 and 8 - love playing this game! (And, of course, they just love taking money from their parents! :-))
