Magic the Gathering Classic Sixth Edition Two Players Starter Deck Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The cards are great. They came on time and they where in perfect condition. The package had not bean tuched and the decks where great! The box consist of two decks each forty cards. I believe that one deck is white and green, and the other is black red and blue. Together the decks make a wonderful rainbow deck as long as you tweak it a little.

Magic the Gathering - Seventh Edition Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I'm going to say this straight off: the Bomber deck is arguably THE best (next to Way Wild) deck for the Seventh Edition set. Not only does it have a wide array of great and sneakilish cards; such as Ancestral Memories, (rare), Daring Apprentice, (rare), Air Elemental, Merfolk Looter, and of course the lovable Wind Drake and Counterspell, but it does a good job of introducing new players of Magic to many important aspects of the game. Also, some of the cards in Bomber (i.e., Ancestral Memories and Merfolk Looter) work surprisingly well with the new Odyssey block's (Odyssey, Torment and Judgment sets) mechanics, Threshold, Flashback, and Madness.
This 40 card deck, complete with TWO rares and a randomly inserted foil land is well worth its value ... and should be strongly considered being added to anyone's collection.

Call of Cthulhu LCG Asylum Pack: The Horror Beneath the Surface Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Pro's
- Solid game mechanics
- Diverse selection of cards
- Great artwork
Con's
- too few cards for the price
- a little imbalance in some of the cards
- Card text and rules are ambiguous in certain situations
Overall I enjoy playing the game, but it would have been better priced at around $20.

Pokemon Rummy Card Game with Special Clip-on Carry Case Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is a great game. You get all 52 regular suits, except there are different pokemon on each one! The jokers have Ash, Misty, Brock and Team Rocket on them as well. There are instructions for playing rummy and it's even educational, too! My 3 year old is learning how to read based on these cards! It's even more of a blast listening to him pronounce the different pokemon! I highly recommend this to everyone, and the price here just can't be beat! I bought mine in a grocery store and it was at least $1 more in price!

Magic the Gathering Time Spiral Tournament Deck Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Time Spiral is Magic: The Gathering's token Nostalgia-fest, and it's remarkably well done assuming you started at any point before Mirrodin block (in other words, the old card frames). Tournament Decks are essentially 3 booster packs + land, so the only incentives for purchasing these are the land and the little box. The box is good for decks/gifts, and Time Spiral lands are, in my opinion, quite pretty. Find out whether these added benefits are worth the price difference between a tournament pack or just buying 3 (or more) boosters at a store near you.

Wizard White UltraPro Mini Deck Sleeves (750/bx) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)When I got the sleeves, I quickly slipped
these on and was quite pleased. These aren't
like the old ultra-pro sleeves I used to own
that had a slippery back and sometimes stick
together. These sleeves have a textured back
and can be easily handled. Lastly, these sleeves
are the perfect fit for my Yu-Gi-Oh cards. For
about $3, I think its worth it after looking at
other sleeve's prices.

1 (One) Ultra Pro Deck Box White - Pokemon, Magic and YuGiOh (81454)

(More customer reviews)The deck protector is a good purchase becasue of the price. This is not a very strong deck box but you can keep your deck protected from somethings, just do not drop it because you will lose every card in your deck box.

POKEMON TRADING CARD GAME 2 PLAYER STARTER SET Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I've gotta disagree with the not-for-kids-under-10 comment. My nephews started playing Pokemon using this set way back when they were little--I mean, 5 and 7, something like that. A grownup needs to read the rules and teach them how to play ... then they're off and running. At first they'd come find grownups to read the attack info and help them with difficult rule points, but pretty soon they had the cards down 100%. It was incredible. They actually learned to read in part by playing Pokemon ... and they got lightning fast at multiplying by 10s, subtracting and adding by 10s, etc. When an adult would play with them they were much faster at working the math (skipping steps to get the final result), and they NEVER made a mistake.
My beef with the game is the sales of small packs. Little kids are pathologically optimistic. Every time they spent their money on a pack they thought they were going to get exactly the card they wanted. When they didn't, well ... sometimes there were tears. They felt ripped off. So grownups have to be prepared to set firm rules on what the kids can spend on cards and talk them through the disappointments.
With that caveat, though ... this was the first strategy game they were really interested in. They learned a ton from it. As far as educational value goes, there's nothing in the world that compares to that 100% all-out I-love-it energy kids bring to their favorite things.
We live in a Pokemon world. We do. Just accept it.

Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This card game is great and has so much to offer in so many ways: from strategy, customizing different decks, player interaction, and of course fun. The rules are straight forward and new players can pick it up fairly quickly. Of course with this being a Fantasy Flight Game the quality is second to none and there are a ton of cards even without adding any expansion packs. Lots of expansions to add to the playability but unlike a collectable card game like "Magic" you do not have to be always spending money on cards. The expansions add alot to the game and the price is very inexpensive for the amount of cards in each one.
