I don't know why, and you can call me crazy, but the white ones shuffle better than the black ones. There is a tiny hologram at the bottom of the face of these sleeves, which covers nothing on Magic cards.

(More customer reviews)I was really excited to get Ultra Pro sleeves, because I think they look sharp. I play a lot of CCG's, so there's always a need around my house for them.
When they arrived, I immediately put some of my naked decks into them, and the first thing I noticed is how slippery they are. Holding a standard 60-card deck by the top and bottom card, the middle of the deck came sliding out and cards went everywhere! So that's annoying, but not a deal breaker.
The deal breaker was when I went to shuffle the deck - not with a bridge, but edge-to-edge - and the corners of the open end tore open on a couple cards! My FIRST time shuffling the deck! I've used the sleeves with pictures on them before, and I've never seen them tear like that!
Very disappointing. Only buy these sleeves if you're looking for something cheap (in both senses of the word).

(More customer reviews)This deck is a great example of how to harness Magic: The Gathering's new card mechanic, "Threshold." It achieves this with a relatively straight-forward strategy, to get threshold so your creatures, etc. get bigger and better. (By the way, the Threshold mechanic comes into effect when 7 or more cards are in your graveyard.) Not only is the Liftoff deck informitive, but it has nearly a dozen must-have cards in it, such as Mystic Penitent, a 1/1 creature for one White mana with the following text: Attacking doesn't cause Mystic Penitent to tap. Threshold: Mystic Penitent gets +1/+1 and gains flying. The deck itself, however could use some moderate adjustments, but that's to be expected from a preconstructed theme deck. I will stress the fact that this is a must-have theme deck that will aid new and old players in their quest to greatness in the Magic Card game.

2006 Magic The Gathering Time Spiral Theme Deck Review

(More customer reviews)I got these because I was traveling and had the Magic bug. I wanted some quick easy decks to teach my friends how to play and get a few duals in. We were playing these decks and one thing became clear. Out of these four decks, the Sliver Evolution deck is far superior. As soon as the Watcher Sliver hits the table, the creature removal in the other three decks is useless and it's game over.
Great Themes, great playable decks. But if you get to pick, pick Slivers.

The box consist of two decks each forty cards. I believe that one deck is white and green, and the other is black red and blue. (More customer reviews)I'm going to say this straight off: the Bomber deck is arguably THE best (next to Way Wild) deck for the Seventh Edition set. Not only does it have a wide array of great and sneakilish cards; such as Ancestral Memories, (rare), Daring Apprentice, (rare), Air Elemental, Merfolk Looter, and of course the lovable Wind Drake and Counterspell, but it does a good job of introducing new players of Magic to many important aspects of the game. Also, some of the cards in Bomber (i.e., Ancestral Memories and Merfolk Looter) work surprisingly well with the new Odyssey block's (Odyssey, Torment and Judgment sets) mechanics, Threshold, Flashback, and Madness.
This 40 card deck, complete with TWO rares and a randomly inserted foil land is well worth its value ... and should be strongly considered being added to anyone's collection.

They don't make sealed deck tournament packs now, instead opting to use 6 booster packs, but if you can get your hands on old ones like this for cheap, they can be worth it. Google "mirrodin spoiler" for a list of cards you could get.

Magic the Gathering Deck Protector Sleeves (80 Count) 82074 Review

(More customer reviews)Oh, there's not much to say about these sleeves in particular. I just want to point out that these aren't a perfect duplication of the back of a Magic Card. The logo is different, for starters. A real Magic Card has the word "Magic" written in blue with a red/orange boarder, while these use yellow with red. Plus, it's missing "Deckmaster" which is printed near the bottom half of a normal Magic Card.
The other side of these sleeves, at least in the case of mine, are white. I think its a very good choice. The white surrounding the normal black boarder of a Magic Card give it an elegant and clean feeling. They're also nice and glossy.
Getting 80 for $8 sure beats out other Ultra Pro offerings - Ultra-PRO Solid Color Deck Box: Black. Even if they come with a deck box, these only come with 50 sleeves, useless when a Magic Deck is 60 cards minimum. Sure you could buy two or more to rectify this mistake, but there's no guarantee that the sleeves inside the deck box will have the same pattern or be the same TONE of black. I've had that happen to me a few times.
