Pressman Guess That Pokemon Game Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My 6 year old son is a HUGE Pokemon fan and loves the game "Guess Who". So when we saw this, we def had to purchase it. He loves it! It is a little more challenging than Guess Who, epecially for a child you can't read but after a few games my son was able to figure it out.

Pokemon Sorry Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This game has gotten lots of play time in my house. It's more fun than the regular "Sorry" game, at least for Pokemon fans.
Each player chooses which "gym" will be his or her home - for instance, Blaine's gym, or Misty's gym. Then the pieces all belong to one type - Misty's pieces, for instance, are all Water Pokemon.
The safe spaces are Pokeballs, and the cards have special moves for the different colors of pieces.
It's a lot of fun for all our kids ages 4 and up, and even I like to play this one with the kids.
The educational value is that they read the cards, and lots of counting is needed to play the game. Plus, there is some strategy involved.
This game is sold at a good price for the amount of fun involved. I recommend this one!

Ultra PRO Pokemon DIAMOND & PEARL Mysterious Treasures - Combo Album - 4 POCKET PORTFOLIO (Pokemon Trading Card Album / Binder) Out of PRINT Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Good binder for holding Pokemon cards. My son seems to like it and put his card collection into it. Limitation is that the pages are fixed or glued in, so it cannot be expanded. It has about 20 pages.

Pokemon Rummy Card Game with Special Clip-on Carry Case Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is a great game. You get all 52 regular suits, except there are different pokemon on each one! The jokers have Ash, Misty, Brock and Team Rocket on them as well. There are instructions for playing rummy and it's even educational, too! My 3 year old is learning how to read based on these cards! It's even more of a blast listening to him pronounce the different pokemon! I highly recommend this to everyone, and the price here just can't be beat! I bought mine in a grocery store and it was at least $1 more in price!

Pokemon Cards - Aquapolis ABYSS - Theme Deck Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)If you are thinking about getting a new theme deck for the Pokemon TCG, or are just looking for a good way to get back into the game, here is a good deck to buy. Wizards of the Coast did a very good job of providing helpful Trainer cards and multiple rares. This game does a great job of teaching kids to use every part of their brain, espescially in the math/probability aspect. To keep the cards in good shape, pick up some cheap UltraPro clear sleeves. Pokemon Pikachu Match'em Catch'em Game Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This game is simply a blast! My 5-year old daughter, my wife and I play this game a lot. Pokemon Match'em, Catch'em Game is a lot of fun and easy to play and not too tough for my daughter. It teaches attention to detail by trying to match the Pikachus as quickly as possible. It gets really funny when you tag the wrong Pikachu (and you will) when you thought it was the correct match or when stealing the Pikachu card from someone else. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to sit down with the family for a little quality fun.

Pokemon Master Trainer 2001 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The Pokemaon Master Trainer Board game is a lot of fun for the Pokemon fanatic. We do not have the electronic Pokemon games. If we did, I suspect that the enjoyment of this board game would be somewhat diminished. Our 7 year old is a Pokemon lover and mastered the rules quickly. He plays at least twice a week and would play more if he could find a willing opponent. The game exercises some basic math skills and requires the use of some minor amounts of logic and strategy. Which brings us to the downside of this game. It usually takes in excess of two hours to play the game. It also has a lot of gamepieces, cards, etc. to get lost. However the game is well made and fairly durable.

POKEMON JR ADVENTURE GAME Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is my five year old daughter's favorite toy! Our whole family played the adventure through together: each player pretends to be a Pokemon trainer traveling to Pewter city, collecting Pokemon along the way. It loosely follows the story-line of the first few cartoon episodes. Children can role-play and add details to the story as they like. They can follow the story, or they can use the cards to make up their own Pokemon battles. I was surprised at how fast my daughter picked up on hit points and attack rolls! I hope that Hasbro will come out with another adventure soon.

POKEMON TRADING CARD GAME 2 PLAYER STARTER SET Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I've gotta disagree with the not-for-kids-under-10 comment. My nephews started playing Pokemon using this set way back when they were little--I mean, 5 and 7, something like that. A grownup needs to read the rules and teach them how to play ... then they're off and running. At first they'd come find grownups to read the attack info and help them with difficult rule points, but pretty soon they had the cards down 100%. It was incredible. They actually learned to read in part by playing Pokemon ... and they got lightning fast at multiplying by 10s, subtracting and adding by 10s, etc. When an adult would play with them they were much faster at working the math (skipping steps to get the final result), and they NEVER made a mistake.
My beef with the game is the sales of small packs. Little kids are pathologically optimistic. Every time they spent their money on a pack they thought they were going to get exactly the card they wanted. When they didn't, well ... sometimes there were tears. They felt ripped off. So grownups have to be prepared to set firm rules on what the kids can spend on cards and talk them through the disappointments.
With that caveat, though ... this was the first strategy game they were really interested in. They learned a ton from it. As far as educational value goes, there's nothing in the world that compares to that 100% all-out I-love-it energy kids bring to their favorite things.
We live in a Pokemon world. We do. Just accept it.

Pokemon HeartGold SoulSilver (2 Inch D-Ring Binder) Series 4 - Black Colored Album for 9 Pocket Pages - Series 4 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought two of these binders for my kids because they love Pokemon and wanted a "Pokemon" binder. I had read reviews that other binders were not very sturdy. These, however, have not been handled with kid gloves and have held up great. They're VERY sturdy. They also are thick so we're able to add alot of pages. I'd totally buy this again.

Pokemon Quick Shot Game Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is a fun game that really has nothing to do with Pokemon except for the fact that it has their pictures. There really is no strategy involved. You load your shooter, aim and pull the trigger. The ball goes up a ramp under the plastic cover, hits the underpart of the stand the man is in, and the man flies up. Whoever hits all the men first wins. That's it.
The trigger takes some force to pull and my sons 9 and 6 handle it very well. Also, the toy doesn't take any batteries which is a plus in my book.

The marbles speed across the base of the game -- if they hit the Pokemon base, the Pokemon flies out of its hole. The one to knock out all of his opponents' Pokemons wins. For 2 to 5 players.

Pokemon™ Champion Island DVD Board Game Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This game is so awesome! It is our first board game with a DVD, and it is fun, challeging, funny, interesting, and a blast to play. My boys 11, 6, and 5 have played alone and together for hours. They are real pokemon fans, and they finally have a use for thier encyclopedic knowledge of the show. My 5 year old isn't quite able to use the dvd easily, but you don't even need to know how to read to play - yet my 11 year old loves it too. Really, this is the best pokemon item we have ever had - and I think we have them all :)
