(More customer reviews)My ds5 loves dinosaurs and my ds8 loves games, thus the purchase. The plastic game board and pieces really are quite cute and durable. But the game itself is just okay, IMO. When we played it I was kinda tired, but I felt the rules were a little complicated. For a 5 yr old to roll 4 dice and figure out where to move his 3 "team mates" PLUS the T-Rex PER TURN will take some getting used to. However, there is a simplified version and I kinda made up some of my own rules too, so that made it passable. We all liked the dinosaurs "battling" when you landed on an occupied space, but then it took too long to roll a six to get out of the "T-Rex den" you were sent to if you lost the "battle". And the T-Rex chasing everyone around the board, while cute in theory, didn't work so well when we played. Overall, my ds8 liked it, but I don't think he's met a board game yet he wouldn't play again. My ds5, whom I really bought the game for has not asked to play with it again. So I think that says something. Since we paid good money for it, I think we will play again, just to see if we like it better over time. And it does involve some strategy and thinking skills, of which kids always have room for developing.
