(More customer reviews)I was pleasantly surprised when I received this iron. I bought it after looking at plastic ones and deciding to go with something prettier and less likely to break. For the price I was expecting a fairly small toy made of so so wood with a surface that might need some sanding. I was wrong! It's just the right size for my four and five year olds, about 2/3 the length of a real iron. The wood is a beautiful hardwood and is sanded to a very smooth finish (I think it may have a beeswax finish on it as well as some other camden rose toys do). The wood is smooth enough that it glides over fabric just like a real iron would. The handle is very securely attached as well. It's really a wonderful toy for the price, I would have paid double what I did for it. I'm now planning on adding the wooden ironing board from the same company to use with it.

His lack of concentration, inability to keep up or remove pieces in other games, made it hard to interact in a fun game together. Also his dexterity, his skills in handling game pieces was slow and wavering. This game offered him a large board he could see well, large pieces with large holes that he could handle well without knocking anything over and there was only one goal--to move your pieces across the board. There was nothing to remove, no money to count, nothing to keep up with except where you are going to move next. It has allowed us to have fun over a game again. This game is well made. The only thing that would make it better is if it came with something to put the pieces in. Before this, Domino's was the only game he could keep up with and enjoy. The large size and easy to handle pieces make this game a good choice for younger children as well. Actually, it is a great game for all ages.

Deluxe Chinese Checkers Game is solid light tan grained wood board 1 inch thick board. Pegs are 2 inches high and 3/8 inch in diameter at base of peg. Pegs are very easy to handle and stay in place if table is bumped. Holes in board are 1/2 inch diameter. Pegs fit holes loosely. The 121 holes in game board resemble a star. Packaged in a plain cardboard box.

(More customer reviews)It should not say 'LARGE' Chinese Checkers, as it is small, smaller than I was hoping for. I should have read the description better than I did. But, otherwise, I am pleased with it. I notice that some people, regarding other Chinese Checkers games, are not happy with the 'plastic' pegs they are getting with their wooden games. These ARE wooden pegs with this game!

(More customer reviews)we've had this game since my son was 18 months - and we're still playing with it at almost 3. it's basically a memory game, but you can play it competitively, or not, with colors, or with black and white. if you love the book, this is a nice addition. the only problem is the cards - with a toddler, it's kind of hard to keep them on the table together, much less in the right "spots". but if your kid is kind of orderly, this is a great game to play with them.
