I got very tired of not being able to teach my young boy how to build with Legos. With this game I received quality time, learning knowledge of planes, cars, boats, trains right along side with my son. It is good old fashion fun. Can not beat it! Now we are playing with my 3 yr old. Thank you.

LEGO Builder Xtreme Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this game for my 6 year old son who is not so great at assembling legos (yet) and both my 5 year old and 4 year old kids play it too. We have to help them assemble the figures (not tough for an older child) but the great thing about the game is it teaches strategy b/c not only do you have to travel around the board and obtain all your building pieces, but you need to try and do it in order and start the building process early on. You can also mess up somebody elses by taking a piece away (my husband and I always choose the piece in the middle). Very easy to play and understand, does take some time to lay out all the pieces on their pictures on the gameboard but WELL WORTH THE EFFORT. WARNING: DO NOT lose EVEN ONE piece or you will be out of luck!@! (unless you can cannibalize it from another set which we did and it worked fine...) Great buy (but I got mine at Tuesday morning for $7.99!!)

Bob the Builder Scoops Construction Site Game Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My daughter got this game for Christmas and we all love it! It's very simple to play, requires no reading and entails two things that all kids (and men) like-construction and destruction! Simply put, you line the board up with tons of plastic I-beams. Spin the spinner and start collecting enough I-beams to build a 3 story tower first and win. The fun part is with the electronic Scoop. If you get him, you pick him up and he starts to spin. Then you drop him on the board. Sometimes he gets you 2 or 3 I-beams at once. Other times, he knocks down a tower (even your own.) The first one to get to three floors gets to put a ceiling with Pilcher the cat on top. You win! But the best part is using Scoop to demolish your tower after the game. The game can be played by any one with just a little finger dexterity and old enough to comprehend the object of the game. We highly recommend this one.

Down at the construction site, players are trying to be the first to build a tower. But watch out!Scoop is having a little trouble staying in control. When you set him on the board, nobody knows where he'll go!If you can dodge Scoop, you'll win this outta control construction game!

(More customer reviews)There's only so much you can say about a blue Lego baseplate. It's blue, that's one thing. It's Lego, that's two. And I guess to round it out, it's a baseplate. It certainly fulfills all of it's promise! Admirable! 5 Stars!

LEGO X-Large Gray Baseplate (628) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Yes, it's a grey 15" square Lego plate. But I seem to remember the "baseplates" being the same thinkness as a regular Lego piece. ...the base plate is a thin (1/16"?), flexible Lego baseplate that will allow you to build really big stuff, but it's tough to use on the "living room carpet" because it is so thin it flexes into the carpet when you try to press a "house" onto it. The result is that either only one corner of the house sticks, or it sticks fine, but all the other structures you've put on, flex off.
Anyway, it's a vital item in any kid's (or adult's) Lego set....

LEGO Large Baseplate Bundle Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Recommended to stretch your existing Lego investment, especially for children who set up characters and scenarios with action based on land or water.
The extra land (and water, the blue pieces) helps my child set up complex and imaginative scenarios and fix them in place, then move different pieces forward and around. He's a WWII buff, and orderly lines of vehicles and people are important in his play. Watch your own kids' play before deciding -- another child, by contrast, built spaceships for years, and never asked for or needed any land in over ten years of lego-play. His creations swooped through the air.
The one baseplate we already had (which could have been 10 or more years old) was a thicker plastic, these are a bit thin and could easily be cracked by carelessly stepping on them.
It's a subtle gift, kids don't really know you can get extra parts like these, they are focused on the big pictures on the boxes they see at the stores. It was well-received and the pieces are in constant use.
