Brain Quest is one of the board games we have played the most. This is because the whole family could play it, even though we were on all different intellectual levels. The adults, or grandparents generally chose the highest grade i.e. 6th. The younger ones went by their grade level or higher depending on the topic. It was suprising to see how much an adult had forgotten and did not know, this added to the fun and sharing experience of adults with children. The children learned in the process.
The drawback for many board games is that different age groups (from grade 1 - 6) cannot sit together and play the game, especially if it is dealing with general knowledge. Brain Quest overcomes that problem. Hence when we have other families with children visiting we pull out Brain Quest, since its rules are simple, and the grame is challenging. The first grader is as comfortable playing the game as the 6th grader and they can all play together! Also the game can be finished in one sitting. I am glad we have this game!
