Last Night On Earth Growing Hunger Expansion Review

Last Night On Earth Growing Hunger Expansion

I'm going to make the short. If you own Last Night on Earth, you need to buy this. The art style is exactly as fantastic as the main game, the new characters are balanced and fun and the addition of more zombies is never a bad thing. There are a few new rules that add genuine depth and the added scenario is deeper and more challenging than the originals.
To remind you: if you have LNoE, buy this now. You can even fit (most of) the pieces of both sets in the Growing Hunger box. If you don't have the main game, buy this AND Last Night on Earth.

The Growing Hunger Expansion introduces new game mechanics and three exciting new Scenarios to challenge players as well as a two player mini-game. Take control of four new Heroes, each with a highly-detailed plastic miniature as well as seven new Red Zombies for use as Plague Carriers, Grave Dead, or to increase the Zombie Horde. New modular game board sections expand the town and feature unique buildings such as the Supermarket, Library, and Antique Shop. New game cards give Zombies a chance to steal weapons from the Heroes and add powerful Double-Handed weapons to the Heroes arsenal, such as Garden Shears and the Fence Post. Also included are two new full color, die-cut counter sheets adding Free Search Markers for the Heroes as well as many more fun ideas to the Last Night on Earth toolbox for limitless use with official web content or creating your own new Scenarios.

Zombies 6 Six Feet Under Review

Zombies 6 Six Feet Under

The Sewer rules in this expansion were disappointing. The real value here is the additional tiles it gives you. There are six Subway tiles (Complete with new Subway travel rules), more intersections and named bulidings, plus a whole lot of event cards. You will need the Main game to utilize this set. Although it is not as good as Expansion 2, (Zombie Corps(e)) 3, (Mall Walkers), or 4 (School's Out) it still holds it's own. One of the GREAT things about this expansion is that the tiles are mixed in with the city tiles, and DO NOT Need to be kept in a separate stack. I like that a lot! The lost star is for the sewer rules. I feel they could have done better. All in All Thumbs up!

Zombies with Grave Weapons Set Review

This expansion is, first and foremost, a compliement to the Survival of the Fittest expansion. Without already owning that expansion this would just consist of some new miniatures. They are very nice miniatures, as are the rest of the Last Night on Earth collection, but they don't add anything to the game without SOTF. With that expansion, however, they do add a bit more interest and variety to an already great game. This may not be a must-have for most players, but it can be a good addition.

might not be age appropriate for kids, as it is about selling MJ, but it does teach a bit of math

Zombies 9: Ashes To Ashes Review

There was just so little information online about this expansion. Nothing on their website, and the 1st 'review' here isn't even of this expansion in particular. Well here is the thing, the game plays just a well as the rest of the main game + expansions. By now you get the idea. But here is what is new to this set; here is the information I desperately wanted before buckling down and just getting it: What they have added: Once again, great event cards, though not as creative as the ones in the 3.5 expansion, but still solid. WHATS NEW: They have added 'Automatic Events' cards whose effect take place as soon as they're drawn. Interesting, and a good direction. ALSO NEW: They added 'Zombie Kids'! 25 to be exact. Their stats are the same as normal Zombies, but a Zombie Kid can accompany a Zombie on the same square. They also have a square in this game that is a 'Pet Cemetery', and the official rules say if you have Zombies 4, use the Zombie Dogs on this square. I like that. This expansion has the biggest variety of zombies on the board when played like this. That's just some of the new stuff, I hope this helped those that wanted to know if it was worth it. Yes. Yes it is. (BTW The artwork on the tiles is some of the best in the series!)

Requires the Zombies!!! core set to play.It used to be one of the big two:You know what I mean, death and taxes. Now only taxes are certain and the graveyard might as well as be called a waiting room. "Final resting place," yeah right! Ain't no one resting here...Zombies!!! 9 lets you explore your local cemetery and see if you can stop the source of the zombie scourge. What is that funny-smelling smoke coming from the crematorium, anyway?

Zombies 2 - Zombie Corps(e) 2nd Ed Review

Zombies 2 - Zombie Corps(e) 2nd Ed

If you've played Zombies!!! but found it lacking in the strategy department, this expansion will give you what you need. The new event cards are enough by themselves, but with the addition of new map tiles, you can pursue a whole new course in the game. With this and the 3.5 expansion, after editing the deck down (removed about 20 cards), we were able to squeeze more variety into our game. Some of my friends worked towards the military base, attempting to hit the motor pool for the added movement, others chased after the helipad, while I made full use of the new event cards and scored my 25 zombie kills (which is a lot more feasible with the expansion).
The addition of the super zombies is actually very nice, as well; being able to harass your friends with a few fast-moving and hard to kill zombies makes for a new way to annoy your competition.
