Fish & Ships Booster Pack (1) Munchkin Booty Review

Fish and Ships Booster Pack (1) Munchkin Booty
Average Reviews:

I wish I had known that I was purchasing a tiny little pack of cards. It comes in a little package like trading cards. Once I paid for shipping it was around $8. Not worth the money in my opinion. It's nice to have a few extra monster, but I would have paid the $4 in a store instead of another $4 to ship it to me.

SJG4204 Fish & Ships Booster Pack (1) Munchkin Booty by Steve Jackson Games Munchkin Booty introduced two new mechanics to the Munchkin line: Ships and Sharks. Both were very popular - there is a reason the first expansion is called Jump the Shark! - so this new booster plays off both of them. With two new Sharks and six new Ships (plus two new Ship Enhancers), and John Kovalics art, this set will be a hit with all Munchkin pirates, no matter what flag they fly. Fish and Ships is neither collectible nor randomized, every pack is the same as every other. This is a supplement, not a stand-alone game.

Munchkin Fu 2 Monkey Business Review

I *LOVE* the munchkin card games and own almost every set. This, however, is my least favorite. It does not strike me as as funny as several of the other sets (like they were trying to stretch a little far), and definitly not as funny as they could be considering the number of Japanese and samurai flicks out there to make fun of. Deifnitly worth buying for the Munchkin enthusiast, but I would recommend Star Munchkin or the regular Munchkin as a better alternative for newcomers to the game.

"More mooks, more mayhem, more monsters, more monks0 more Munchkin Fu. 110 evil and overpowered cards, plus two blanks to create your own. Learn new styles like Kong Fu, Fee Fi Fo Fu, Sna Fu, and the ever-perilous Stomach Fu. Pick up dangerous new weapons like the Auspicious Ivory Gutting Hook and the Tofu Tonfa. Garb yourself in the Hong Kong Sarong. Slay foes like the Sex Gaki, Clamera, and Genghis Cong... and take their stuff. This is an Expansion for Munchkin Fu. It is compatible with the original Munchkin and all its supplements and spinoffs, including Star Munchkin, Munchkin Bites, and Munchkin Blender. It is not a stand-alone game. Realm of the Ice Witch (Dungeoneer) Review

Realm of the Ice Witch (Dungeoneer)

Don't get me wrong, you can easily play this with just two players with nothing but the cards in the box. But I started with Tomb of the Lich Lord and I'm REALLY glad I did. This game is great, as are the cards, but some seem a bit overpowered and are better when watered-down with the more beginner-level stuff in Tomb.

If only they'd print it with black card borders. Why, why do they do white? It's SO ugly, looks dirty, and stains easily. Urg.

MAG BLAST THIRD EDITION GAME Review

MAG BLAST THIRD EDITION GAME
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Mag Blast is the best table top game I have ever played! It's a space combat card game, but unlike other card games all you will ever need to play is in this box. Each player chooses an alien race with a specific ability. Cards are dealt and galactic mayhem begins!
Basically, the object of the game is to defend your flagship while trying to destroy your opponent's flagship. Surrounding your flagship are smaller spaceships that do combat with your enemy's fleet. By placing a card, you can shoot lasers of various destructive powers, launch fighters and bombers, repair your damaged fleet, lay a mine field, pirate your enemy's ships and even call in reinforcements. The artwork on the cards are really cool to look at too!
The action is fast, fun and furious!!! The game is easy to learn and can be played in less than a half hour. The game is awesome and addictive, I find myself thinking about it in my mind when it's been awhile since I've last played it. Overall, I can't think of a better gift to be found under a sci-fi gamer's Christmas tree!

Mag Blast is a game of screaming space battles, where 2-8 players take command of a fleet of Scouts, Gunships, Dreadnaughts, Destroyers, and even more frightening ships in an effort to blow up their opponent's fleet of Scouts, Gunships - you get the idea. Featuring Fantasy Flight Game's patented "Make a Silly Noise or Miss" Blast Targeting System, Mag*Blast packs more laughs per square inch than any other starfleet-battling ship-exploding science-fiction card game named Mag*Blast on the market! Munchkin 1 thru 7 Bundle Review

Munchkin 1 thru 7 Bundle

I'm a college student, and I absolutely love playing this card game. Despite the dauntingly long direction booklet, it's very easy to learn, and fun to master. Best played with 3-6 players, it's a great and fun activity for hanging around, and games usually last around 30 minutes to an hour. I highly suggest adding this to your game collection, and is best played by audiences 12 and over. The 1 through 7 bundle is a great deal and a good addition to your Munchkin gaming experience.

Munchkin 7: More Good Cards Expansion Review

Munchkin 7: More Good Cards Expansion
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
From the Point of view of someone that has all seven expansions and the Dice game I would say if your looking for more cards to add to your mix this a nice addition with more
6 Wandering Monsters,
7 cheat cards,
1 wishing rings,
3 curses
And some of the better cards from Munchkin Blender with new art. However I have found the lack of class, race, portal, hirelings, and steed cards. Makes these cards very thin and even hard to find in the door deck. I suggest if your going to use this expansion you might want to thin out the door deck a bit so that you can take advantage of the 1/3 Bread, Chimera, Super Duper Munchkin cards.

The Stars Are Right Card Game Review

The Stars Are Right Card Game

OK, this is actually a really fun card game, especially for those that enjoy the cthulhu mythos or have previously played Munchkin.
However, the rules are a bit complicated, and I highly suggest you only play with people that have a couple hours to understand it before playing, and that you play with children over 10.
A great game from the people that made Munchkin.

This is a semi-fun game, but I prefer Munchkin Quest (board game) better. I wish the makers would incorperate some of the cards from this expansion into Munchkin Quest.

Munchkin Impossible Review

Munchkin Impossible
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've played many of the Munchkin games and own several. The mechanics are the same for all: start as a generic level 1 human and advance to level 10 by defeating monsters, selling goods and special bonuses. Draw from the door pile - if it's a monster - fight, ask for help (or get the monster augmented or weakend by other players) and /or run away. If it is a trap, resolve it. If it is something else it goes to your hand. Collect treasure cards from defeated monsters or trading or helping other players, and use the bonuses to help defeat the next monsters. Backstab your friends frequently, steal their stuff and cheat, sometimes with both hands!
Impossible sees the Munchkins in the super spy world of Bond, The Saint, The Prisoner and Austin Powers. The basic set has a good balance of monsters to provide challenge, augmentation and deflation cards for fights, good stuff and fun abilities in loyalties and classes. Play can change from impeding victory to defeat as you go from unstoppable superspy to all out Spy-vs-Spy, or have another player pull an underhanded sneaky spy move to suddenly pull ahead or make you lose levels.
Of all the Munchkin series I have enjoyed the Original, Bites! and Impossible the most for overall game balance and smart, funny card names, functions and joke references. This one should generate some really fun suppliments.

The Munchkins are now spies . . . eliminating the opposition, playing with self-destructing gadgets, and changing loyalties even faster than they change hats. Be a Playboy, Tourist, or Assassin. Report to the Americans, Russians, British, or Chinese (it'll change!). Wield gadgets from the subtle Cigarette Dart Gun to the amazingly unsubtle Bazooka with Incendiary Ammo. Eliminate foes, from the pathetic Defective Defector, through the Interro-Gator and the Not So Secret Police, up to the mighty Super Spy himself. And (all together now) . . . Take Their Stuff! You can play Munchkin Impossible by itself, or combine it with any number of other Munchkin games for more shameless silliness.

Munchkin Cthulhu (Revised) Review

Munchkin Cthulhu (Revised)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My husband and I love Munchkin and were excited to see that there are a variety of themed sets available. I am a big fan of H.P. Lovecraft, so Munchkin Cthulhu was right up my alley. The game is just as fun as the original while including several fun new rules. I love the cultist class and enjoy the green die that came with the set. This is a great game for 3-6 people, though you can play with just two people but it's not as enjoyable. The cards are colorful and the illustrations are wonderful. The game is easy to learn and easy to teach to others. Games usually last about 30 minutes to an hour depending on the cards drawn, but you can play a longer game by downloading the free "Epic" level rules from the Munchkin website. The 3 other Cthulhu Munchkin sets add a lot of fun to the game, but it's a good time just with this set. And as usual this set can be mixed with other Munchkin sets for more craziness!
The only thing that would make the game better is if several green 10-sided dice were included in the set (for use in keeping track of your level). All in all, a wonderful purchase!

...this card game is simple, fun and a riot for any person who has ever played D & D,
In Munchkin you are dealt a hand of cards. Each player starts off as first level, you play items and draw cards, and when you see a monster you fight it, and what monsters, The Potted Pland, the Drooling Slime, the Plutonium Dragon, the stoned Ogre, you get the idea.
You are helped by items such as Don the Horny Helmet, Boots of Butt-Kicking, the singing and dancing sword, but beware, the people you play with might help the monsters to help themselves to your treasure. They may help you instead, for a price that is.
It is very simple, if the strength of your weapons and level combined are higher than the monsters level (enhanced by your foes) you win and get treasure cards and go up a level or you can buy a level for 1000 gold by selling items.
The game is fast paced and very tounge - in - cheek. The maker says it "captures the essence of the dungeon experience...with none of that stupid roleplaying stuff."
Simple, fast paced and full of fun, buy this one...
