Sorry Retro Game - LIMITED EDITION - The Classic Game of Sweet Revenge Review

Sorry Retro Game - LIMITED EDITION - The Classic Game of Sweet Revenge
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Simplified Version of Parcheesi and throw in some lucky cards and you have "Sorry!" This sounds simple, but try to play and you find that there is something more illusive. This game uses Cards numbers from one to twelve to determine your moves; each card also has instructions that may help or hinder the progressive movement from Start to Home. Some time it is an advantage to move backwards. There are not enough stars for fun. You just will not tire of this game in a day or a lifetime.
As for educational, the game is mostly just spending repetitive time trying to outguess and outluck the next person. Then watching helplessly as the third person takes their turn. It is fun but you do not come away with any profound insight on number theory or game psychology.
Durability is as durable as cardboard and wood (or plastic.) it is a matter of handling and not losing the cards or pieces.

Sorry Disney's Splash Mountain Theme Park Edition in Collectible Tin Review

I've played Sorry since I was a little girl and it has remained my favorite board game of all time. This version - based on Disney's Splash Mountain ride - makes you just as happy as you'd feel had you stepped onto the actual ride (unless of course, you lose or hate the ride). I like it because the pieces are cute and the board is very bright and colorful, which makes it fun to look at! Disney fanatics will love this game! I know I do!

Sorry Spin Review

Sorry Spin

I will review the two different components of this product - first the assemble, and then actual play.
1) Assembly is required. No tool are needed but you do have to align the cogs so they spin properly and make sure all tabs are clicked in place, or the spinning function will not work smoothly. It took me a total of 5 minutes to assemble the spinning board. I did have to take out a couple of the home zone parts and re-attach so the cogs aligned properly. I think if you get it right the first time and do it when your children are not around trying to "help", then it should easily be done in a couple minutes.
2) The play instructions are easy to understand and follow. There are colored pictures to aid in visualizing the explanation of the rules. The game is rated for Ages 6+ and that seems right on the mark where my kids were concerned. My 6 1/2 year old was able to sit and follow the structure of the game whereas my 3 yr old wanted to randomly move the pawns and spin the board like it was a merry-go-round.
Both kids did lose interest after about 15 minutes, as did I. I would recommend this game to play when you need to fill a short period of time or along with other games when playing for longer.

The twists and turns never end in this fun game! Just like in the classic SORRY game, your goal is to get your pawns back to their same-colored home. But watch out: in the SORRY SPIN game, if you draw a Spin Card, the playing board turns and you could end up getting closer to your goal - or whizzing right past it! In a SORRY SPIN showdown, revenge is sweet...unless the board spins and the revenge is on you!For 2 - 4 players, ages 6 and up.Contents Include:5 rotating game discs, 5 plastic cogs, 4 plastic arms, 4 rubber feet, 1 plastic base, 16 pawns (4 of each color), 42 cards and instructions.

Sorry Fun On the Run Game Review

Sorry Fun On the Run Game

I recently played this game with my two nieces, ages 5 and 3. Because this is a travel-sized game, it's simplified in that there are only two colored pieces, or "movers," for each player. Therefore, both girls were able to easily follow along with the game (although admittedly, the 3-year old did lose interest before the end of the game). The game board is nicely designed so that it folds into itself, creating a compact carry case. The game also features a spinner rather than dice, and the only loose pieces, the movers, tuck away nicely into individual cubbies when the game is closed up. I would mainly recommend this game for the 4-8 range, but its small size makes it convenient take-along entertainment for virtually all ages.

This is a traditional-looking version of Sorry in a very sturdy wooden case the size of a large book. I prefer this older-style board to the new more brightly colored one.

U-Build Sorry Review

U-Build Sorry

My 7 year old bought this with his birthday money and we've played it quite a bit since. The game is Sorry! on a much smaller scale, which is nice for quick play, but there are some new additions, too. The "claw" can be used to move a player back, but the rules say the player gets one chance to make the claw work; it usually takes me about 10 tries (my son loves that part), it's not well built.
The idea of moving walls to block your opponent is nice, but doesn't add much to the game. On 5 of 6 rolls you can either move through or relocate the wall yourself.
Nice game for kids; parents try not to think too hard about all the ways they could have made it better.

You build the game! Assembly is only half the fun as you build your game and the Claw. Then, race through the maze. Get to the center to tag your little pawns. Bust down walls & use the Claw to set your opponent back. Be the first to get all of your pawns home to win! Play it our way, or change things up. Create your own maze, build up the walls, add in some twists and make it your own!
For 2 to 4 players. Ages 6 and up.
