Little Tikes Deluxe Cozy Convertible Car Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My son has loved this toy since we got it for his first birthday (he's now 16 months). We live in NYC so we are constantly walking around and this is a fun alternative to a stroller. People are always smiling at my son as he steers and plays with the buttons - I've been stopped many times by people asking where we got it and was it expensive - which I think it was not.
But as I said - it definitely has limitations - the lack of a seat belt being the biggest. The first time my son rode in it he tried to stand up as I was pushing it, and I thought I was going to have to return it. But after a little engineering I rigged an old (and very long) buckle strap around the pole used to push it and under the convertible top and it works pretty well. My only other complaint is that the hard plastic wheels are SO LOUD on the city sidewalks - people definitely hear us coming. It would definitely be an even better toy if they changed the wheels to rubber. But regarding the seat belt, I think it would really be in Little Tikes best interest to change the model and add one.

Little Tikes Deluxe Wooden Kitchen and Laundry Center Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The kitchen is very cute. I bought it for my daughter. I like that it was not all plastic (although it does contain particle board and wood veneer...so if you are looking for 100% wood, this is NOT it), it wasn't overly girly, and it included both kitchen AND laundry accessories.
Some pictures of this product on the web show metal-looking accessories. This is inaccurate...all accessories (pots, pans, phone, laundry basket, etc.) are made of plastic. Also, the door handles, clock, and knobs are made of plastic as well.
My daughter (2.5 years old) loves this kitchen/laundry center - especially the bell that "dings" when the laundry is "done." The knobs also make a clicking noise when you turn them. A larger kid might enjoy a larger kitchen but this fits great into our living area and is a fine size for my daughter.
The dimensions of our finished product were:
Height = appx 41"
Depth = appx 14"
Length (with ironing board out) = appx 45"
Countertop height (where the sink/stovetop are) = appx 20"
I have two minor complaints:
1. Assembly: I am a Mom who is 7 months pregnant. I'm no engineer. I felt like "Mom the Builder" as I was putting the thing together. It wasn't difficult and everything was well-labeled, but it was tedious. The instructions do not have words - just pictures (43 steps in all!), but they were easy to understand. It took me about 4 hours to assemble the whole thing on my own (no assistance from my husband). All in all it was easy to assemble, it just took a loooong time.
2. The CAMS (or "tumbler locks?") that are used in assembly: When you tighten the cams "tumbler/turn locks" that are used to hold together various pieces around a screw, DO NOT TIGHTEN THEM TOO MUCH. I've assembled a lot of furniture in recent months with similar cams and I'm familiar with how they work. I don't over-tighten them and plus, I'm not overly strong, but when I hand-tightened them, some of the veneer almost split on the outside - indicating some of the wood (or wood-pulp) on the inside of the piece of wood was breaking. Oops. My husband said he could put some wood putty on there and it's not as though there were TONS of cams, but for the few you do have to use: DO NOT TIGHTEN THEM a lot and watch to be sure the wood on the other side of the cam doesn't start to poke/break through.
Even with the cam issue, the piece - once assembled- seems sturdy. You can attach it to the wall if you are concerned about it falling on your child, but at this point, that doesn't seem like an issue where we've placed it in our home. We'll see how it holds up for my toddler in a few months, but for now, we are pleased with this product and would buy it again! As my husband just mentioned (after watching our daughter play): I think this will turn out to be a very worthwhile purchase.

Little Tikes Numbers Busters Deluxe Starter Set of 10 Figures Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Kindergarten boys in my child's school LOVE these "Busters." Using simple math skills, they do "battle" with each other. Numbers on the bottoms of the plastic figures relate to the cards that come with them. Kids love them so much they don't even realize they are doing simple math (addition and subtraction) in order to play.
Too simple for older kids, but just right for the younger crowd.

Little Tikes Endless Adventures Easystore Jr. Play Slide Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)After a few trips to the park, my 18mo/old started going around all day saying "slide". We don't have the room in our backyard for a playset, so we settled on this one. I don't think she has left the thing alone for 5 min since we got it. The bottom of the slide spits the child out only about 2 inches off the ground. However, after much sliding over carpet, my child started holding her little rear. So, we put an exercise mat at the bottom to cushion the end of the ride, and she loves it!!! It does fold, but not too easily, however, I have not had the chance to put it up :-)

When this slide is open, toddlers will play and slide all day. When it's closed, it folds down without tools for compact storage and moving away. Take it on trips, to the campground, or even use it indoors when the sun isn't shining. And the "Backyard Naturals" colors are fun for kids, yet blend in well with the backyard setting. Measures 23"H x 18"W x 39"D.

Little Tikes Pop Tunes Big Rocker Keyboard Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I got this product for my 12 month old daughter becuase i noticed what appeared to me to be musical ability and she loves it. She can play a song and then pound a rythm on the keys along with the song and she then, or the musician in her, also keeps time by taping the feet.
I love it becuase i am threilled to see her enjoying it so much, but also because it so piano like . I can really see that she has a little music thing going on .. so we'll see what the furture holds.
i have only had it for a month so i can't speak to durability beyond the fact that my daughter throws it down just as often as she plays it and it is still working
