Wood Expressions Charcoal Grey Leatherette Rummy Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This Rummy set is very nice.
The tiles are large, sturdy, and well-made. The corners are slightly rounded and the edges are smooth. The numbers are imbedded in the tiles with the colors heavily applied--good, clear, bright colors--red, yellow, blue, black. The tiles are about twice as large as the "Rummikub" set made by Pressman, and much, much heavier. I don't know what material the tiles are made of, but it is NOT cheap, light-weight plastic.
The plastic racks seem sturdy and are large enough to hold many more than the 14 initial tiles. They set up with removable rods that are inserted into the back.
This set comes with one die and a sheet of instructions for playing Rummy.
All parts are stored in a nice, slim case which seems very well made.
Although expensive, this Rummy game set is of a very high quality. If you like good, well-made games that are nice to handle, you won't be disappointed with this product.

Rummy-O Tin Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I ordered the style of game because the illustration was shown to be like the one we owned earlier. We had lost tiles from that game so I wanted the same game as to be able to replace tiles if they be lost later. So I looked for the same style of container. When I received the game it was in a square box and the tiles were different. The new tiles were buffed only on the top edges, whereas the older on was buffed on both sides. This makes it very difficult to pick up. The tiles on the new game is made cheaper. So, thanks for down grading.

You'll learn a little kooky jargon in this game. You might decide to go on board, play a foot or take a little shot. Don't worry! Like Rummy, this game is simple to learn but takes some brains to win. First player to group all of his or her tiles wins the round-- ace the most rounds to take the game! Includes 106 Rummy-O tiles, four triple tier tile racks and instructions. Game stores neatly in sturdy tin. For 4-5 players.

Deluxe Rummikub Large No. Edition Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have an old edition of this wonderful game and wanted to get one for my son and his children. The quality of the pieces has really deteriorated since I got our original one many years ago. The pieces are very light weight. It's unfortunate, but I think that's just a sign of the times.

The colors of the numbers on the tiles are like card suits. This game may start rather uneventfully, but when the players start putting more and more tiles on a community playing area, the machinations of playing out your tiles can become quite complex. For 2 - 4 players, ages 8 to adult.Contents:106 playing tiles, 4 game racks, 4 legs, leatherette carrying case and rules

Travel Rummikub Game Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this to replace an old travel Rummikub, because the numbers were wearing off the tiles so badly. I'm disappointed with the new ones for 3 reasons.
1. The new tiles are inconveniently tiny - their fronts are about a quarter the size of the tile fronts on the old tiles, and they're very thin.
2. The blue and black numbered tiles are hard to tell apart. The blue numbers on the new tiles are much darker than the blue numbers on the old tiles.
3. The 'patented' tile holders have an annoying design such that the whole thing tips and spills the tiles if one bumps the front overhang.
I couldn't see any of these problems before I bought the set, because there doesn't seem to be any description of the size.
