We already own the George Foreman Grill which is great for our little chefs in the house and this "barrel 'o fun" is an added bonus. It's crazy to see what the minds of twin 3 1/2 year old boys and an 18 month old girl can create! The barrel contains six cans of the Doh, in various colors, along with plastic rolling pins, scissors, cookie cutter molds and hours of fun! The molds are sturdy and the scissors are so safe that they probably couldn't cut a piece of hair in half.
I have such great memories of playing with this stuff when I was small. It's nice to see some toys can stand the test of time!

He has learned to look at things closely and compare. As he gets older we'll turn them over and play how it was originally intended. Great for kids of many ages.

(More customer reviews)This is a great set! My son got this for his 3rd birthday & he & his 6 year old sister enjoy it tremendously. They can both play together since there are so many things to do. The set comes with a bunch of play doh, cutters, stampers, plastic scissors & a little knife to cut the play doh. The funnest part is the table on top has little molds to make all sorts of fun stuff. It also includes some crayons & paper, but I am not really sure why; they seem out of place in the set. The neatest thing about this set is that when they are done, they can use the little tool to pick up the loose play doh pieces & put all the parts & doh back into storage case very easily.
This would be great for any child that enjoys play doh, it has so many features there is fun for anyone, & more than one child can play at a time. It also has a lot more space if you want to expand & buy other play doh toys & store them in the box.

(More customer reviews)My two year old son loves to play with this toy almost every day. He likes to make "snakes" by pushing the play-doh through the various shapes on the attachment. It also has three raised shapes where you can press the play-doh down and see the image of a smiley, butterfly or car.
It does need to be cleaned thoroughly after each use or the play-doh will harden inside but even then it's not very difficult to clean. This is one toy that my husband and I both enjoy to sit down and play with along with our son.

Endless hours of sitting at the kitchen table with my brothers and sister, molding anything and everything that came to mind with varying degrees of success. We never had many of the accessories, such as the burger factory or spaghetti factory so we used our imaginations to mold the afternoon away(sometimes the morning and at times, the entire day).
I recently picked up some PlayDoh on a whim for myself as it was at the front of a big box store and CHEAP so after some 24-26 since my last memorable experience, it's nice to know that:
1) some things never change
2) PlayDoh is still fun to play with
3) that childhood smell is still the same (and if you didn't know, there is perfume/cologne of the smell for addicts)
Yes, I'm an adult and I enjoy playing with PlayDoh.
PlayDoh is a fun product for children and adults alike. If you have children, spend some quality time with them molding snakes, bears or any item your imagination can come up with?
The only downside to PlayDoh is just as it was 25 years ago; you can't really keep any of your creations. If it's not in the container, PlayDoh WILL dry out and crack then crumble. This is a boon and a bust. The boon is that you are forced to continue to use your imagination on new creations. The bust is that for your (or your child's) artistic masterpieces you will have to be content with a digital picture (still better than the Polaroid memories since at least digital pics won't fade).
Fun for the family and highly recommended for children of every age.
