Those old enough to have been around during the 80s might just remember this ultra, cool invention from the same guy who created the Rubik's Cube and other brain teasers from that era. This new 2008 version of Rubik's Magic even has the same colors as the famous cube!
The Rubik's Magic is a super fun shape shifting folding puzzle. The object is to link 3 rings, hence the title.
The puzzle may seem difficult at first to solve, but if you can find your way back the starting position go to Youtube.com to learn how to solve. It is a pretty easy puzzle to solve and people love watching you solve. Something about this puzzle is just so stunning to see and hear.
I so far know 4 ways to solve it. The main thing to keep in mind is if you feel resistances when you are folding don't force it because this thing is made of strings and you can break it.
Parents might want to help younger children on how to solve it and handle it. The toy can be slightly frustrating when you are first learning how to solve it.
I love this toy, but I have to be honest that if you are new to this toy or are just starting to play it again for the first time in 20 years there is a chance you could break it at some point. I accidently broke one of mine recently after learning a new way to solve it because the guy in the video was using a modified version and didn't make that clear and I ending up breaking mine.
In closing, the Rubik's Magic is a very addictive, inexpensive toy that fascinates every one of all ages. This 2008 edition looks great and is even sleeker than the older version. It's not that hard to master and will give you the confidence to take on a harder challenge like the Rubik' Cube which now I can solve because of a little help from Youtube.com too! Any toy that helps you to think in a fun way is an A+ in my book!!!
I hope they re-release the Rubik's Magic sequels in the future...

Rubik's Magic is made of 8 colorful panels connected with a filament similar to fishing line. Each panel is printed on both sides with different designs. You can flip and fold the panels into cool shapes and designs, or try to solve the magic challenges given in the included solution hints booklet. Another great brainteaser from the Rubik's family!
The manufacturer suggests that Rubik's Magic is for ages 8 and up but due to the delicate nature of the puzzle's construction, we here at Uncle's Games recommend this product for ages 12 and up.
