Monopoly 1935: Deluxe Wood Edition Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My mother had a Monopoly game like this when she was a child. She mentioned that she wanted one someday.
Of course I searched and found her one at Amazon.
When she opened it on Christmas morning, you could have heard a pin drop! Then she quickly opened it and demanded we all hurry up to play. As is often the case with Monopoly, we played for hours and hours.
She could not have been more pleased.

Monopoly Game - Special Silver Onyx Edition Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I purchased this elsewhere, and was way disappointed when I opened the box to find practically everything TINY! We're talking money (and not enough of it for a REAL game) the size of business cards, property deeds/cards smaller than Post-It notes, Chance & Community Chess cards like a book of stamps, and houses/hotels you could fit in your ear. Ironically, the darn dice are huge, which is silly since the playing surface of the board itself is pretty small. Buyer beware, as always.

Monopoly The Heirloom Edition Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This edition is so well done and fits beautifully in the dark wood box it comes in. The board folds out in quarters and is extra sturdy. Money is redesigned to look more like real money. houses and hotels are wood which is ok but wish they did gold hotels to go with the green houses. The whole theme is gold and green. I could not decide between this and the franklin mint version (researched them both for nearly a year). I ended up with this set out of space issues (easier to store than the much larger franklin mint game) and swapped out the boring dice for lustrous dark green dice with gold pips (they matched perfectly!). Also swapped out the hotels for franklin mint gold hotels. Now it's everything I was looking for!! I especially love the gold piggy bank special token that comes with this set. This is kind of hard to come by so snap it up for a nice edition to your collector's monopoly set!

Franklin Mint Monopoly Collector's Edition Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Last month I bought a Franklin Mint Monopoly off Ebay and it is one of my favorite things that I own. i collect Monopoly games and to own this version feels like I own the crown jewel of Monopoly games. The board is beautiful and the gold hotels look beautiful as well. The deeds are kept in a fancy portfolio and the silver houses are wonderful. the money that comes with this game looks different from any other Monopoly game and the look of it makes it look more royal. The banker's drawer is a nice touch to this game and it really makes people want to be the banker in a game of Monopoly. The tokens look wonderful! I put a token from this game next to a token from the Deluxe Edition and the real gold of the Franklin Mint looks much better than the painted gold of the Deluxe edition.
I just have to say that if your a person who collects Monopoly games then you need to have this game is your collection.

Monopoly Deluxe Edition Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Monopoly Deluxe is a grand update of the monopoly game we all used to play in our grandma's basement with our cousin Jimmy. Now that I'm grown up and my mother has died, I have taken the opportunity to teach my kids how to play. This game is incredibly fun, and Hasbro made extra sure that players would be delighted by this games new features. There's a wheel that conveniently holds property for you, wooden houses and hotels, a restructured bank, and a brand new look and feel to the board game. There's no other game on the market that will teach you so many things about business and money counting and conservation. This will be extremely helpful when your kids work at a fast food restaurant. In my mind, this is the best version to buy if you have enough money left after paying your third mortgage on your trailer home. One downside, however, is that the money is easily ripped and bent. I find this to happen most often when your brother in law comes over and you start to quarrel. Overall, kudos to Hasbro!

Super Scrabble Deluxe Edition Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My wife and I play scrabble regularly. We started using Super Scrabble instead of the standard game a couple of years ago and reallly love it. The only problem was that since the game is twice the size of the original scrabble, it took us more than one sitting to finish a game. The standard flat board was easily bumped and often our games were ruined by someone bumping the board. I even contacted the Scrabble people to see if I could get a deluxe board (with the rails) 2 years ago and was told that it was not being made...
and NOW here it is. no more ruined games from someone bumping the board!
We love the Deluxe game.
Only (minor) problem is the seam where the board folds does not always lie flat so the letters in that column can move around.
all in all, a wonderful addition to the scrabble game.
