Escape The Mad Mummy Game Review

Escape The Mad Mummy Game

Santa brought this for my 7 year old son (the little Mummy lover of the family) and we have had lots of fun playing the game! The only negative is that you have to spin the big cube with a rip cord then balance it on a block so it spins while you take your turn----that's a bit frustrating for little hands but otherwise I would recommend this game.

Wood Expressions Senet Review

We had borrowed a Senet game exactly like this one a few years ago. Our kids loved it. I had not been able to find one anywhere until this Christmas. We have played it a lot. Our kids are 11, 8, 6, and 2. All of us, except for the 2-yo, play it. My husband and I both enjoy playing Senet with the kids. It is really a fun two-player game. You toss the wooden sticks like dice onto the table and the way they land decides how many spaces you can move on the board. You can move your pieces into combinations to be safe together or to blockade other pieces from moving. But you can't stay that way too long because you have to keep moving to get all your pieces off the board and win.

Egyptians Review

My kids and I are studying Ancient Egypt (we homeschool) and I thought this game would be something fun to add to our studies and I was right. My kid are 8 and 10 and they beg me to play this over and over again. The object is to get all 6 of your "Pharaoh" cards into your pyramid and then make it to the middle of the board where the sun god RA is. You can battle other players for their pharaoh cards, trade cards with a player, get your pyramid raided by "Tomb Raiders" and you can also answer trivia questions. I really like the question cards. On each card there are 3 questions, easy (which has either a yes or no answer) medium and hard. Just from asking the questions the kids and I are learning lots about this civilization. We made a rule that if you can answer all 3 of the questions right you get to move one of you pharaoh cards to your pyramid!
Overall, this is a a really fun game for family night. If you are a homeschool family studying Ancient Egypt then this will definitely add some FUN to your studies. You will not be disappointed with this game.

Mystic Egyptian Tomb Review

Mystic Egyptian Tomb

Wow! I purchased for my niece for her 9th birthday. She is enamored with ancient Egypt, as am I. My fascination is with the burial rituals, pyramids, gods, and their belief in the afterlife. Her fascination started when our cousin had to get brain surgery, and a reference was made to egyptian brain removal technique...
The stone was a little tough to get started, but she had a harder time keeping her younger brother away. It took two hours to complete with a little help from my 15 year old daughter. They were very meticulous and scientific in their technique. There are digging directions to behave like an archaeologist. Yes, it was dusty, you ARE chipping away at a plaster "rock"!! It was FUN! She unearthed every "treasure" piece with a sense of pride and accomplishment. When she was finished, she assembled the treasure to learn what each piece was and what it meant to the ancient Pharoah in his afterlife. This is interactive, and not just a toy they look at and throw in their closet. It is also a game when they are finished. 5 Stars - Wish I could of had one when I was a kid...
