Though not a winner of the coveted Mensa Select seal, Gamewright Captain Clueless was an entry at the 2009 Mensa Mind Games. Of all the games I reviewed that weekend, this one made me laugh the most while I was playing. Once I got home, I bought Gamewright Captain Clueless and it has been a HUGE hit with the family! So far those of us who have played here at home include two guys (ages 19 and 47) and three girls (ages 13, 19 and 38).
The game board is a dry erase map of the Caribbean, complete with obstacles such as buoys and mermaids that you have to navigate around. The person "sailing the ship" for each team is blindfolded. Teammates must navigate you thru the obstacles toward your destination, using a limited number of words. If you crash into one of the obstacles or a piece of land other than your destination, your turn is over. The first team to reach 3 destinations and successfully sail back home is the winner.
We LOVE this game and I HIGHLY recommend it! It's a great family game and you learn a bit of Caribbean geography while you're at it!
