He enjoys playing with all of the features - the horn beeps and the gear shift moves (and the engine revs accordingly for drive or neutral - it even beeps for reverse) - the blinkers work from a stick attached to the steering column just like a real car. The buttons on the bottom make the proper siren noises of the vehicles they represent. You turn it on by turning the key. You can adjust the rear view mirror. The little car moves along the street in the picture window. (Incidentally, the nurse is the only little person that the car can run over. :)) The music the pretend radio plays is nice and the sound effects on the telephone are cute - neither are at all annoying. I would complain only about two things with this toy - first, that it is a bit loud - and there is no volume control (contrast - the telephone is a little too quiet) - and once you put the gear shift in forward drive, you can't turn off the windshield wipers. I would have found that to be a cool feature. We play with this toy very often, but not for long periods of time, as the little guy says it's too loud after a little while. I think it's still better than the competitor products and I would probably buy it again anyway. I just really wish you could turn down the volume a bit.
