(More customer reviews)I was looking for an activity to keep my 7th graders
occupied during our extended homeroom in the morning.
We do "game day" once a week, but they tend to trash
most board games and are hard on most card decks. Some
of them mentioned chess, so I bought 4 sets of these
boards. They are inexpensive and hard to break. The roll
up boards work great on 2 desk tops and store away in the
closet without taking too much space.
The plastic pieces are the regular club/tournament
size that I've used before, so they are rugged and
big enough not to get broken/lost. The students love to play
chess, even though they aren't very good, so I'll probably
start doing lessons and buy some more sets. Maybe run a
competition against another home room.
