(More customer reviews)I purchased this game for my kids who love playing it. The game play is simple and is based on colors so just about anyone can play it. I actually took it on my golf trip with the guys and had some competitions with it. The guys loved the simplicity and especially the fact that they could all learn it and it gave us a break from the usually card games we play. I learned quickly that the game play can be just as much fun for adults as it is for kids. Plus the game actually fits in my golf bag! What a great thing to have on all trips. I have already bought another one so we can expand our play.
Great price point as well for hours of fun!

Trail Blazer Review

Each question card has questions of different difficulty levels, so parents, older kids, and younger kids can all play together and learn something at the same time. I would enthusiastically recommend Trailblazer for families looking for constructive ways to have fun together, for home-schoolers, and for teachers -- it is a innovative learning tool, and great fun to boot.

Talicor Totika Review

(More customer reviews)I use this game in counseling sessions with adolscents and adults. The game engages them in the process and the cards provide useful questions to help them explore a variety of topics. I bought all the additional sets of cards available and have found the Teen-Adult set to be the most enjoyable. In addition, the questions are not so "therapeutic" that it would exclude families from playing. The Self-Esteem card deck would be a good conversation starter for talking with your children. I highly recommend this product.

I have purchased these cards many times over the years, both for my own professional and personal use, and as gifts for others. They allow children to open up in a playful way, and create wonderful conversation starters between kids and adults. With my own child, they are a fun way to chat and learn new things about each other. With kids and families in therapy, they create opportunities to assess needs and deepen relationships between family members, or between client and therapist.
There are so many ways to use them, too! You can just draw from the deck and shre, or you can pair these cards with another favorite game. For example, I sometimes bring the cards out along with Checkers or Chess, and anytime someone loses a game piece to the other player, they draw a card and complete the sentence. I have also paired the cards with Jenga, Don't Break the Ice, Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, and many other childhood games.
Kids love the adorable artwork, and the fact that they can answer their own way makes these cards a non-threatening way to get to know someone new or deepen a relationship with someone trusted.
I highly recommend this and other Bright Spots products to anyone with children from about age three (adults read the card aloud for the child) to adult.

Therapy the Game Review

(More customer reviews)I first played this game back in college (as a Psychology major) when it first came out, and it came in a huge gray box. Then a few years later there was a version in a smaller gray box, but I haven't seen it around for a while. Really cool that it is back. It was one of my favorites, and a fun one to play with people because most people didn't have it, and so hadn't gone through all the cards and learned all the answers yet. Getting sent to psychosis is always fun if people act it out. There is also a little book with mini inkblots that you get to interact with occasionally.
I don't know if they have updated the cards for this version, but I hope so. Some of the "facts" were outdated even back then... although of course it is still fun. :)
Warning for those playing with children: there are (at least used to be in the original version) some cards that are of a sexual nature. Since you might not want a kid picking up one of those cards accidentally, I suggest going through the main deck ahead of time and removing those cards.
Overall, great game, and interesting psychological trivia. :)

(More customer reviews)I've had the opportunity to play The Ungame many times. I assure you it will bring you many hours of fun with family and friends! As you must sit quietly unless it is YOUR TURN, one is forced to listen attentively to the player whose turn it is. Pay close attention, take notes if you want. (I took LOTS of notes and had so much fun with them!) When it is your turn, if you land on a space which allows you to ask a question or make a remark, you can then use these notes.
While playing this game, you'll learn more about the other players (and possibly yourself) in one hour than you have in a year in most cases. Why? Because you are LISTENING! We often hear part of what someone is saying but we don't always listen completely to what he or she is saying as we should. With this game, people are focused entirely on each other as individuals. It's wonderful!
I highly recommend this game for families, for youth groups, for church groups, for support groups, and for anyone who wants to simply learn more about his or her family and friends. It's a win/win situation. I love to play and am always ready to learn about myself as well as the other players. Have fun with the Ungame!
