I purchased this toy for my husband last Christmas. He was extremely unenthusiastic when he opened the box and went through the directions, which admittedly are rather complex. However, we had some friends over and worked through the rules, and everyone had a great time. Now whenever we're invited somewhere, we're asked to bring it--it seems to be one of those games that's easier to play than to have explained to you.
The object is to reach the end, of course, but this is easier said than done, since your team changes with every roll of the die. We found that six to eight players is optimal. One player is captain every round (this rotates with every hand), and whatever number the captain rolls determines which game you'll be playing that specific round. In "Somethin' Just Ain't Right" you might be asked to select the five movies by Mel Brooks (out of eight listed). The captain determines how many correct responses his/her team can come up with, and how you score is influenced by how well you know your fellow players' information base on that specific topic. If one or more players guess wrong, they go back a few spaces; if all answers are correct, the captain gets double points and everyone else on the team moves the number of correct answers. In "Attack" one player is the goat, and all the other players decide whether or not they want to join in the attack. If the attack is successful, the attackers move forward, if not, the victim moves forward. There are 5 permutations of the basic game, and the action is very fast and almost always funny. It's very much a team-oriented game, but when the teams change with every hand, you really have to keep on your toes. I highly recommend this game--if you're an inveterate game player and love trivia, but Trivial Pursuit is old hat, this is the game for you.

Who What Where Drawing Game Review

Who What Where Drawing Game

I love drawing games. I love playing them with my family and my friends. We've played all the different variations - and even made up some of our own. When I heard about this new game, I just HAD to get it and give it a try.
This game is SO much fun. It beats out regular drawing games by a mile. It takes a lot more thought to draw Abraham Lincoln taking a Bubble Bath in Las Vegas than it does to draw the usual drawing game words like "hammer" or "Sicily" or whatever. Plus, the absolute hilarity of deciphering other players drawings is just great. I thought this game looked like fun when I read the description and reviews, but I have to say it even surpassed my expectations when I actually played it. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone thinking about buying it. It's WELL worth the price.

Can you imagine Bill Gates sumo wrestling in a trailer park? How about Oprah Winfrey pole vaulting in the zoo or even Prince Charles performing ballet in Egypt? Who? What? Where? Is an outrageous new drawing game where everyone makes a scene... on paper that is. Players pull one card each from the Who? What? and Where? card decks and have approximately 5 minutes to draw their scene. Then players pass their drawings to the right and the other players attempt to guess who the drawing is about, what their doing and where they are. Each player gets to guess at every other players drawing by writing it down on their score sheet. And players don't need to guess the entire scene in order for the artist to score points. Identification of any one or two of the three components will give the artist a score. Not an artist? Not a problem! The worse your drawing is, the more fun the game can be! Game includes 120 Who Cards, 120 What cards, 120 Where cards, blank drawing pad, score sheets and instructions. For 3 or more players.Ranked a Top 10 Coolest Game of 2003 from the Chicago Tribune and Best New Game of 2003 from the San Francisco Chronicle.

WISE AND OTHERWISE Review

WISE AND OTHERWISE
Average Reviews:

This game is similar in style and play to other board games like Malarky and Balderdash. However, I would recommend Wise and Otherwise over either of those games. In Balderdash, players come up with meanings to words 99% of the population has never heard of, and try to convince other players that their definition is correct. In Malarky, players answer questions that 99% of the population would never ask. In Malarky, I found that many people came up with very similar answers which took some fun out of the game. In Wise and Otherwise, players have to finish foreign sayings that rarely make sense. One example: If you take a squirrel out of water.... The real answer is, "he will devise a plot against you". Every player would have written down an ending to the statement and handed it to the reader, who would then read everyone's aloud as well as the correct answer. Players vote for what they think is the correct answer and hope that others will vote for theirs. As you receive points you move your pawn up the board and the first to the end wins. Creative people will really enjoy this game because many times the correct ending to the statement is extremely goofy. The whole spirit of the game is light-hearted and the losers have just as much fun as the winner. (By the way, I won today!!) For fun I gave the game five stars, because everyone really gets into the game and enjoys themselves even if they're in last place the whole time. For education I also gave it five stars because listening to these odd sayings gives people an idea of what foreign cultures are like. This game is also very durable due to the sheer number of sayings and the fact that nobody could memorize all of them.
