(More customer reviews)I love Chelona puzzles, and the traffic one is probably my son's favorite. He received it for his first birthday, and continues to play with it after turning two. I love how Chelona puzzles have a picture under each puzzle piece that is slightly different from what you see depicted on the piece itself. For instance, pulling out the fire truck piece will reveal what the insides of the fire truck look like. Taking off one of the building pieces will show a helicopter hovering underneath. These puzzles provide alot to talk about, and the size of the little pegs is perfect for working on developing fine motor precision pinching. Though appropriate for babies, so many peg puzzles use giant pegs that really do not challenge a toddler's fine motor abilities. So in many ways, this puzzle is an excellent developmental toy.

(More customer reviews)We received this as a gift, and it is a beutifully crafted and very educational toy. Very safe even for young babies (no sharp edges or little parts). I tried to interest my early toddler in this, but he would only do it when I sat down and encouraged him. It was never one of the toys he picked up himself to play with.
I am in total agreement with other reviewers that there are too many toys these days that make lotts of noise, light up, move around etc. I also agree that a child should have manipulatives and toys that are simple to encourage their imagination. BUT, the toys should still be interesting!!! Unlike blocks, balls, tool sets, or cars, this puzzle is only made to do one thing with - Put the triangle in the triangle slot. Once you've done that, you are pretty much done with this puzzle.

(More customer reviews)I recently purchased the Matchitecture Mississippi Boat and can safely say that so far it has given me many hours of enjoyment. This is not a "toy" for kids and takes a lot of time and patience to put together. I highly recommend this for all adults who enjoy putting together detailed models. The instructions that come with the kit are perfect and leave no detail of the process out. Each sheet of the instructions is placed under an acetone sheet that is used to glue the pieces together on. The only thing that does not come in this kit is a piece of sandpaper for sanding off rough edges. I hope everyone who purchases this model will enjoy the experience of building their own Mississippi Boat as much as I have!

(More customer reviews)We got several Melissa & Doug Jumbo Knob puzzles for our 13 month old daughter and she loves them! It is easy for her to pick up and she puts the pieces where they belong - not necessarily fitting the shape in but on the same spot as the picture :-).
I had looked at other brands of puzzles but found the knobs too small and worried that they might be swallowed if it came off. The Jumbo Knobs in M&D puzzles are screwed on and very secure.
