The only negative are the overly small and undermagnetized pieces. Similar to other magnetic sets, it does not include extra Queens. I've purchased many chess boards and sets over the years, but I play on this one more than all the others combined. Great for burning time when waiting in Doctors' offices, planes, or anywhere you're forced to wait for the world.
This board makes a great gift to yourself, or heck, even to someone else.
