(More customer reviews)I had this game when I was a kid and it has appeared and disappeared in all the years since. Now that I am a (pretty old) mom of girls ten and seven, I was excited to see it rereleased, and though the graphics are 1960s vintage, my girls LOVE it, and so do I! The board is fun and nicely designed. Every space has an instruction or message, with detours for school, boyfriends/dates, odd jobs to earn money, school clubs, shopping, etc. In addition there are surprise cards, money, and cards with the boyfriends, dresses and schools clubs you acquire. There are plenty of random events as well as chances to choose, so it is a game of luck and skill. There are opportunities to use basic arithmetic and intermediate reading skills, as well as strategy, but non-readers can play it with mom or older siblings without detriment to the game. My ten-year-old even played it with a manly but non-sexist 5-year-old boy and they had a blast!
