(More customer reviews)This is the fourth expansion for the Zombies!!! board game, and it blows away the previous three editions. Balance seems to be reached with the game play. The addition of zombie dogs adds a bit a strategy when it comes to placing the zombies, especially if you use both zombie humans and zombie dogs (which is the way I prefer). You can actually play this as a full-fledged, stand-alone version and not miss a beat, as everything you need to play is included with this edition. The addition of the pages for The Book of The Dead adds an element of strategy that is extremely welcomed. The pages can be used for their abilities against other players, or saved to help you break the spell and win the game. Nice touch. Combining the cards from the original with this one can make for a truly aggressive and fun game. Rules additions can easily be adapted to the previous three Zombies!!! games.
Since there are no street to take into account, the layout of the tiles feels a bit more free-flow and allows for better movement, but can also make parts feel a tad on the empty side once zombies start getting cleared out. Some rules still need a bit more tweaking, but are again clarified on the website. There aren't as many weapons available in this edition, which some players may see as a negative.
Overall, this is the best expansion to Zombies!!! I have played, and adds tons to the overall experience.
