(More customer reviews)This "chutes and ladders" type game is just the thing for my Wizard of Oz crazy 3 year old. It's great counting practice and great for learning basic board game rules. She's not quite patient enough yet to finish but it's fun watching her go farther every game.

The Wizard of Oz Trivia Game Review

(More customer reviews)The Wizard of Oz is my daughter's favorite movie. She received this game last year, for her fourth birthday, and she loved it from Day One. The questions geared towards children are simple enough for anyone who's seen the movie to answer (they have photos from the movie on the back of the cards, and many questions relate to the pictures). The adult questions can be pretty challenging; it helps to know A LOT about the movie's history and actors, not just the movie itself. Many questions relate to the original Wizard of Oz book, which is quite different from the movie. Reading is required in order to ask other players the questions, so this game can't be played with just one adult and a child, unless that child can read well. Also, the rules state that if someone answers a question correctly, he or she keeps going until they get one wrong, or land on a color they already have (you get an arc of the rainbow for each correct answer in a category). This means if a person knows enough about the movie, they can answer all the questions and practically win, before anyone else even gets a turn. You may want to change the rules at home to allow everyone a chance to answer the questions.

(More customer reviews)If you love the Wizard of Oz, I think you will love this game. It is very different from the Game of Life, however. Instead of choosing to go to college or start your career, you choose to follow Glinda and become a good witch or follow the Wicked Witch and become wicked. You move around in different colored slippers and collect munchkins instead of children. There are several spots where you can choose a path to follow, such as to follow the flying monkeys or follow Glinda's bubble, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. You can also choose to make an Over the Rainbow Investment in a certain number on the spinner. I love this game!
