(More customer reviews)The pros: its better looking than the Amazon pictures, plus the two colors (orange and purple) of the two sides are easier to distinguish "in person" than in pictures, the figures are detailed, pretty and ethereal, I'm very happy with it, they are made of some sort of stone/plastic material that has a nice weight.
The cons: I'm not sure but many of the elfs' wings look like they would break if dropped on the floor -- maybe not the best set for younger kids, one side is the "good fairies" and one is the "bad fairies" e.g. the knights for the bad fairies ride skeleton horses or something like that -- if you have a child like mine, be prepared to play the "bad fairies" exclusively, not all the ranks are equivalent (the rooks for the good fairies are toadstools and the rooks for the bad fairies are tree stumps which I find needlessly confusing), the Kings, Queens, and Bishops are a bit too similar, with a little practice you can tell them apart but they should have made a greater effort to make them a little different.
All in all, I am very happy with the set.
