(More customer reviews)I had been looking for a Selchow & Righter turntable set for a while to replace the one I let my daughter take when she moved to her own place. So I jumped on this one which was advertised by a marketplace reseller as "never been used." The bad news was that it had obviously been heavily used (box battered and taped up, board cracked in five places, missing several tiles, used score pad.) The good news is that because I had used Amazon's 1-click service, I was able to return the set and get my money back, including shipping. I have since bought an inexpensive new set, which--though glitzy--doesn't measure up to the old ones in quality and features. So if you can find an old set, buy it...but not unless you use the 1-click service.
