Hotshot Basketball Review

We've all played the Pop-A-Shot basketball game in the arcades and this is the next best thing. Actually, I think this is probably the best 3-D sports game I've seen in a long time. It's got plenty of size, and the controls are simple and easy to use by little kids or adults. In this game, the backboard moves towards you and then reverses continuously... so your shot might be short one moment then long another. Like the NBA 3-point shootout, you get a few balls so they continously roll down to a pick up area where you drop them into the shooter and then let it fly. Has electronic scoring and NBA charge sounds, and a bonus window in the last 10 seconds of the alloted 60 seconds. This is a great parent/child game in which the game is a good equalizer! I even played my grandmother! It's also a good alternative to a video game at half the price. Cool colors too. Hope they come out with a football or baseball version this christmas.

Park & Sun 7-in-1 Family Wall Game Center Cabinet Review

This was a great deal and it DID come with a lot of great games, BUT it didn't come with the balls for the darts games that are shown in the picture. I had sent an email explaining the situation and was sent an ENTIRE new package but again no balls. I finally gave up but am disappointed that the company didn't handle the situation better.
Also, don't inflate the basketballs too much or they won't fit in the net.

Lifetime 1221 Pro Court Height-Adjustable Portable Basketball System with 44-Inch Backboard Review

Lifetime 1221 Pro Court Height-Adjustable Portable Basketball System with 44-Inch Backboard

Read all the reviews on this. Mind you, I was a bit skeptical at the price, but in the end, I locked and loaded on this one and am very happy. Below is my written review and I've also attached some video. Read the review first.
As for it being complicated to put together, I really did not find this to be an issue. Sure, there were a couple of vague areas, but I found if I just paused, thought about it for a while, the answer came to me. Aside from putting one bolt in backwards (kids could have bonked their head on it so just turned it around) it all worked out nicely. One adult can do most of the work, but you must have two for the mounting of the back board and hoop.
As for quality. It's just fine.
For little kids, I think this is perfect. If I was buying it for older kids, I might get one of the other models with a bigger back board and where the board is extended off the pole. I recorded a couple of videos which shows you how the back board sits right on the pole. As one reviews stated, if you were running and slamming, you'd run right into the pole. Sometimes the ball hits the pole and kicks it back out. So this hoop system is really more for "goofing" around than serious play.
If you have a limited budget and / or you just want something for goofing around, or for little kids who have an interest in Bball, really I can't find any faults. The price can't be beat. The system is very stable and sound.

Hone your jump shot in your spare moments or perform a backyard dunking drill with this Lifetime portable basketball system. Unlike in-ground basketball hoops--which are typically anchored in concrete--this portable hoop rolls on wheels, letting you position the basket support in your desired location, from the back patio to the middle of the cul-de-sac. All you have to do is fill the 27-gallon base with water or sand and play.
Lifetime knows that younger players aren't always ready for a 10-foot hoop, which is why the basket boasts a height-adjustment mechanism. The telescoping mechanism adjusts from 7.5 to 10 feet in 6-inch increments--no tools required--letting players of all ages and skill levels enjoy the game on their own terms. Aspiring dunkers can also gradually raise the basket 6 inches at a time as their vertical improves, although the 18-inch solid steel rim is not a breakaway rim. The black rim is instead extremely stable, with 1/2-inch steel braces, welded steel net hooks, and a 50-gram net.
And players needn't worry about the 44-inch backboard wearing dramatically over time thanks to the UV-protected, high-density polyethylene construction. This sturdy plastic material helps the board resist chipping and cracking while protecting the graphics from fading. Also equipped with a black, powder-coated, three-piece pole, the Lifetime system carries a five-year warranty.
About Lifetime In the beginning, all the founder of Lifetime Products wanted was a sturdier basketball pole for his backyard. With this in mind, he found and purchased a piece of heavy-duty used pipe, a sheet of plywood, and a basketball rim. The resulting backyard basketball standard functioned perfectly in his backyard. Seeing the potential of his hoop, he placed an ad in the local free classified newspaper and made his first sale. The rest--as they say--is history. He created the American PlayWorld Company in 1973, based out of his garage in Riverdale, Utah. After expanding into several other types of playground equipment, he eventually moved to a bigger location in South Ogden, Utah. Several years later, the company transformed the basketball industry by introducing the Quick Adjust basketball pole, the first complete basketball system you could raise and lower with a broomstick. In 1986, American PlayWorld created Lifetime Products, a separate company intended to concentrate specifically on manufacturing adjustable basketball systems. In the ensuing years, the company has grown from having 18 employees in a 32,000-square-foot space in half a warehouse to more than 1,400 employees and 2.6 million square feet over 23 separate buildings.

Nerf Wall To Wall Basketball Review

Nerf Wall To Wall Basketball
Average Reviews:

Like many children of the 80s, I had a Nerfoop attached to the inside of my bedroom door and/or in my basement. I was looking for a similar product for my home office, and when I found this item on Amazon, I figured this would be a reasonable facsimile of that classic toy. Plus, this contains TWO hoops, so how could I go wrong? I added this to my Wishlist and was happy to get this as a birthday gift...
Man, was I disappointed! The flimsy plastic rim barely attaches to the ugly cardboard backboard, and the backboard fell off the mount almost every time the ball hit it. Worst of all, the entire assembly affixes to the wall via two "sticky" pads on the back of the rim. This proved to be merely a temporary condition, as within a few weeks the adhesive properties had disappeared and the hoop wouldn't stay attached to the wall. The old Nerfoop had a metal bracket attached to the rim: this bracket could be mounted on a door or easily hung from a pegboard. The black Nerf basketball that comes with this package is a bit heavier than the 1980s ultra-light orange Nerf ball, which is the only improvement this product offers. Don't waste your money on this item!

SKLZ Pro Mini Basketball Hoop Review

SKLZ Pro Mini Basketball Hoop

13 years! That's how many years we have been buying, and re-buying indoor basketball hoops for our boys. Not one has lasted more than a few months - until now. This hoop has a strong backboard and a sturdy metal rim. Now, the rim is not a break-away style, and I assume if there is a lot of pressure or hanging on the rim, the plexiglass-type backboard could crack and/or break. But as long as their slam dunks do not get too out of control, this should last for a good long time. Extra bonus is the rubber padding on the back of the hoop and on the top hooks that hang on the door. No scratches on my front door and minimal black scuff marks after hours and hours of use. I would recommend this product to any "serious" indoor hoops player, especially those who keep buying the nerf-type hoops. It looks good, plays good and keeps my boys, and their friends, entertained during the winter months when it is too snowy or cold for them to use their outdoor hoop.
