The paper rolls out smoothly and is well held in place by the bar at the end.
The one disappointment is in ease of clean up. For a children's art table I would think the top would be easier to clean. It really stains easily.

Set includes wooden table, two wooden benches, paper roll holder with 18" x 75' roll of white drawing paper, plus paper cutter, canvas storage bag, and two recessed cup holes for the two cups that keep markers, crayons and brushes tidy.
