(More customer reviews)I bought a copy of this game after seeing it recommended by several game websites ([...] being my favorite). At first glance this game seems pretty easy, almost like a version of Uno. Cards come in different suits (colors) and range in number from 1 to 18 depending on how many people are playing. You follow suit that was played and try to win cards to increase your score. The player of the highest card gets all cards except the highest one he or she played. The player of the lowest numbered card wins the highest card. At the end of the game, if you have 1 or 2 cards of a color, you get face value of the cards. If you have 3+ of a color, you simply get the number of cards you have of that color. This means winning tricks isn't always the best way to win and in fact lower numbered cards (Davids) can beat high cards (Goliaths).
We have had a lot of fun trying out this game, especially with the twist in how you think about card games. A definite buy, especially because I believe the game may be out of print as I write this.

"Who will win this battle of strength and wits? Goliath (highest) cards are stronger and can capture more cards, but by cleverly playing the David (lowest) card, it allows you to take the highest card in that trick. Capture cards and increase your score, but more is not always merrier! The twist in David & Goliath is that each card is worth its face value, up to two cards per color. If you have more than two per color, each is now worth only one point! It's the Large vs. the Small in this fun family game, where a clever balance of the two will help you win the battle! FUN"
