I think it's lots of fun because you can't see anything but the back of the cards and you really have to listen as the players make the sounds for each card. The only educational value I think is the listening part and sportsmanship..like when you don't match sounds. Whoever, it's a deck of cards..not very sturdy, and only one player can match the cards while you play. The rest have to make sounds. Which can tend to get not really boring but hard to sit and wait for the other person to be finished. We like it though and have fun. I'd buy it as a gift, especially for someone who has a hard time listening, because that's the only way to play the game!
