(More customer reviews)This game is durable and the characters made it incredibly easy for me to teach my daughter how to play chess. The name of each piece ("Pawn, bishop, etc") is inscribed at the base of each piece. That way, my daughter can play other versions and know it's still the same game...played the same way. My only negative comment would be that the clear window on the box lid tends to break off fairly easily. But it's the game we want, right? Not just the box!!! This game is great!!!
