(More customer reviews)I've played this game with my Sunday game group and at board game conventions. It always provides fun and laughs and is a great party game. Here's how it works:
For each round, players are dealt a card saying whether or not they're an idiot for that question. Players take turns reading questions. Since the answers are right under the questions, the question asker can't play. Everyone else writes down their answer. The one catch is if you have a card that says "you're an idiot" you must write down a wrong answer, even if you know the right one. After the answers are revealed, players vote on who they think the idiots are, among the wrong answers. Players who have the correct answer have proven they're not idiots. The "idiot" cards are revealed and those who voted correctly move ahead on the board, those who voted incorrectly move back.
This is a fun game where good bluffing can pay off. If you can get people to vote for you as being an idiot when you're not, you move ahead and they move back. I'll never forget one question and somebody's response:
What part of speech is the word idiot? (noun, verb, etc.)
Classic answer: A figure of!! Hysterical laughter, and he WASN'T an idiot. So you never know who the idiot may be. Also, there can be more than one idiot in a round. The questions aren't all that hard and you'll have a good time with this game.
